    Granville Island

Yes it's touristy, but you do a get lovely view of False Creek and arguable Vancouver's best food market & toy store. Granville Island is a great place to enjoy westcoast cooking & for the kids to play and browse.

    Science World

    18 reviews

Great place for family to hang out. They change their exhibits I believe 3-4 times a year. The kids can learn about science and also burn energy for the day. I'm an adult and I still enjoyed it.

    Toronto Zoo

    14 reviews

LOTS of animals (which means lots of babies year-round), exceptional hours making for great off season visits, upgrading and welcoming more species/individuals all the time. I would highly recommend this zoo for every visitor. Great for families, young adults, seniors, and everyone else! For my full review visit

    Lynn Canyon Park

    10 reviews

Beautiful park. Great hikes, very well maintained. Took a small hike within the park, saw the gorge and some people diving from the rocks which looked quite risky, nice river flowing through the park and the Twin Falls. Quintessential North West.

    West Edmonton Mall

    35 reviews

I have been to both the Mall of America and the West Edmonton Mall on several occassions. Both were developed by the same family. I prefer West Ed overall because of the water park, ice rink and other entertainment options that I think are a bit better than Mall of America. I imagine a Minus 40 weekend in Edmonton and ...

    ByWard Market

    12 reviews

Love this place. First on my list of things whenever I visit the Ottawa area. Lovely European feel to it, great cafes and restaurants. Great for people watching and just relaxing. There's also lots of fresh food stores here and you can easily spend 1-2 hours walking around the market and sitting down for some grub.

Inner harbor is the hub of Victoria. We were lucky that we were living a stone's throw away from the inner harbor on Government street. This is a lovely place to hang out and take a boat ride in the harbor, view the parliament buildings or walk around in the public areas of the Empress Hotel. It is a great ...

    Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge

    13 reviews

This is a great place. Capilano suspension bridge is a bit steep with the pricing - around $35 a pop. This is a much better value. We were in Vancouver last week our host suggested this as an alternative to Capilano and we're glad we went there. The hike in the Lynn Canyon Park is great. It is just so ...
