A simple motel that's been a reliable deal for decades, the Candy Cane Inn is within easy walking distance of Disneyland. That way, you can come back in the afternoon to take a nap and have a swim after lunch, then head back to the park after dinner and stay up late to catch the fireworks. It's nothing fancy, but the candy-cane decor is whimsically cute.

Was not expecting nearly as much as this little Inn provided; the best foliage of any hotel around, 5 minute walk from Disney Land gate’s, and a cozy pool in the center of the property that really glued the environment together. The style of the hotel including the rooms is something of a tropical escape, reminiscent of island life in Key West. One area that could use improvement would be the layout of the rooms. For example: the bathroom door could not fully swing open and when it was open it effectively blocked entrance from the front door of the room. This would be a great defense mechanism for keeping guests out but annoying in every other sense. Also, the complimentary Disney Shuttle does not stop here but Candy Cane remedies this by offering its own shuttle as well as free candy canes in the lobby. Walking to the park is more fun anyway.

Yes! The hotel had a basket of candy canes in the lobby. Just 10-minutes from the gates of Disneyland, the location was great, and the foliage and flowers around this smaller hotel set it aside from the mostly run-down bland hotels in the area. It was the details that scored high with this hotel. There were about one hundred complimentary VHS tapes available to check out at the front desk to watch in your room. Plantation shutters in the room added more personality. And the staff, including the housekeeping staff was extremely friendly and personable. Surrounded by plants and having the pool in the middle of the property gave a feeling of escape. It was nice that you couldn’t hear the cars or see the busy street out front. Even though the rooms were on the small side and the layout seemed a bit cramped, the overall aesthetics of the hotel, the friendly staff and the great location make this one of my favorites in the area.

This hotel is within a 10-minute walk from Disneyland and offers a boutique feel with lush gardens, trees and beautiful landscaping. Complimentary continental breakfast is offered and can be enjoyed on the terrace of the heated pool and spa area which includes a children’s wading area. Other amenities include free wireless internet in all rooms, a 24-hour fitness area, complimentary coffee, and, of course, free candy canes in the lobby. The hotel is within walking distance of the Anaheim Gardenwalk for shopping and dining. Fast food options including Subway and Chinese take-out are found across the street.
