Starting Point: Bourne, MA
The Route: 35 miles on Route 6A, The Old King’s Highway
What to Expect: Americana comes alive on Cape Cod along the longest continuous historic district in the nation—the town of Sandwich is even celebrating its 375th anniversary this year. Wind by almost four centuries of history, colonial architecture, salt-crusted beach cottages, wide sandy dunes, seafood shacks, and harbor-side towns draped in red, white, and blue.
Where to Stop: The Cape Playhouse, where Bette Davis was once an usherette; family-owned Seasuit Harbor Café in Dennis, MA, for a hefty lobster roll next to the boatyard; Rock Harbor in Orleans, MA, for blazing storybook sunsets.Recommended for:

Cape Cod is a delightful little "town" and I say that because it's actually a peninsula on the easternmost part of Massachusetts. A bit touristy is some places, it was nonetheless a great place of harbors, lighthouses, quaint villages, and pristine beaches.

Cape Cod is made of small little towns and village that date back to early 1700 with great history and recreational usage. It is one the top whale and bird watching sight in the country. It is a place that should be on your wish list to visit.Recommended for:

I grew up on the Cape during the summer. I've lived in the San Francisco Bay Area now since 1989 and I'd have to say that I don't really feel like I've had a "summer" unless we make a trip to the Cape.

Loving the Cape. It's a good dose of New England class and refinement meets laid back island fever, with tons of seafood, watersports and leisure. Arlo heaven.

Cape Cod is an amazing historic little peninsula with breathtaking views of the coasts only a few hours away from Boston. It is a lovely quaint and romantic place to visit if you are a history buff and appreciate fresh seafood, beaches, meeting friendly people form quaint towns, and antique shopping. It is lovely quiet weekend getaway!! While in the winter, it is a sleepy quiet town, during the summer it is a bustling tourist spot of sun, fun and bumming around.
