After a grueling 22 hours on an airplane, it was so nice to check in a super friendly and comfortable hotel in the heart of Cape Town. This hotel is just about perfect in every way. It's centrally located and each room uniquely decorated and stocked with luxury. The staff made us feel right at home. I promise you will be on a first name basis within a day. There are nooks and crannies all around the hotel to sit and relax. The restaurant next door Caveau Wine Bar is excellent and the menu changes daily. And speaking of restaurants there are plenty of excellent dining options within walking distance. Make sure to dine around the corner at the Savoy Cabbage!
This is a great hotel and for what you get is an excellent value.Recommended for:Luxury Travelers

History, history, history. This hotel, right smack-bang in the middle of Cape Town, oozes history. While the façade looks rather plain, the interior is rather spectacular – crammed with a mix of modern furniture and all sorts of trinkets that remind one of bygone eras. All rooms have their distinct atmosphere: some are romantic and lovely, with huge four-poster beds and Victorian bathtubs, while others are more modern while remaining cozy. The best spot at the Cape Heritage is without a doubt the rooftop Jacuzzi. From here, you have some of the awesomest views over the city centre. The lounge with its fireplace is great too, especially on colder days. A nice bonus is that the hotel is situated on Heritage Square, which boasts some of Cape Town’s best restaurants, lunch spots, and wine bars. This means that entertainment-wise, you are definitely sorted :)Recommended for:History Buffs

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to sample some South African heritage in a cosy, welcoming space. The interior of this hotel has chunky, dark wood finishes and is decorated with African art, beaded sheep, black and white photos of historic Cape Town, cow hide rugs and sparkly chandeliers. The rooms are all individually and tastefully decorated with spacious en-suite bathrooms, many of them with showers as well as clawfoot baths. Breakfast is served in the homey kitchen-style breakfast room, where you can check out the day’s temperature, read the menu and get your daily inspiration from the information board on the wall. Guests can chill with a book in a leather couch in the library or puff on a cigar in the rich warm red smoking room. With six international-style restaurants on your doorstep, this is a great option to soak up some “South African-ness” in central Cape Town.
