    Table Mountain

    66 reviews

With its particular shape and the breathtaking view over the city and the ocean, this is one of the most fantastic places I have ever seen. Up on the table there is an incredible ecosystem that left me in awe. Loved it.

    Boulders Beach

A life changing experience... I was swimming 2 feet from them and there were hundreds. You climb around the rocks and you can see them if timid of the water.

    Table Mountain Cableway

    39 reviews

The cable car is the easiest way to get to the top of Table Mountain, but it's slow and the lines can be long. Get there early.

    Cape Point

    35 reviews

It's a bit a odd that at the bottom of Africa, you don't feel like you're in Africa at all. Well, except for the baboons of course. The landscape of windswept vegetation over steep, rocky cliffs alongside a furious Southern Ocean tricks the senses, and you'll swear you're in northern California or southern Australia. Or Canada for that matter! But ...

    V&A Waterfront

    40 reviews

In some ways it's just a glorified shopping center, but it is a darn fine glorified shopping center. There are some excellent retail shops in the mall, the aquarium is one of the best, there's awesome restaurants and cocktail lounges, and the place has a fun vibe with the various acrobats and Ladysmith Black Mambazo-like singers scattered throughout the area. ...

    Cape of Good Hope

    28 reviews

Known as "The Castle" among locals, this old fort was built by the Dutch in the late 17th century by profiteers of the Dutch East India Company as a respite and replenishing place for sailors on their way to and from India. It costs about 30 Rand, maybe $5 bucks or so, and will take you a few hours to ...

    Camps Bay Beach

    22 reviews

Ice cream vendors, friendly people and beautiful beautiful ocean breezes. Camps Bay beach was my favorite beach I visited while in Cape Town. You can rent a chair and umbrella, which I recommend because the sun is stronger than you think.

    Kalk Bay

    14 reviews

Kalk Bay is a bohemian and trendy suburb near Cape Town. It has a busy harbour and some lovely little shops and places to eat. Top of my list would be the Olympia Cafe and Deli for luxury eating, Kalkies for the best fish n chips in town and the Brass Bell for a good night in the pub with ...

    Table Mountain National Park

    11 reviews

The views from the top of Table Mountain are some of the best in the entire world. The gondola to the top is closed when the winds are high, so be sure to check before you leave and make sure it's running. Otherwise be prepared for a rigorous hike up to the top.

    Clifton Beaches

    10 reviews

Clifton comprises four small pearly white beaches, nestled in between massive boulders. While all of them are great, I prefer Beach 2 because it is most sheltered from the Southeasterly winds in summer. On hot days, parking can be a bit of a problem but the spectacular sunsets make up for that.
