    Table Mountain

    4.5
    66 reviews

Hyraxes! And so much more. Table Mountain is essentially the geological symbol of Cape Town, and a trip to the top is a must do on any trip to this beautiful city. Cable cars make regular trips up and down the steep slopes, but hiking trails are also an option for the more rugged amongst us (or those simply with ...

    Table Mountain Cableway

    4.5
    39 reviews

Surprisingly efficient and well run. Lines were fine in the off-season. Best to ask the hotel concierge to arrange taxis. Booking online doesn't buy that much time, but it might be different in summer.

You might not think that there are wild penguins outside of Antarctica, but come to see some at Boulders Beach.

    Cape Point

    4.5
    33 reviews

A place to find animals that you have never seen before and also to wark to the point wear the lighthouse is almost in the sea.

    V&A Waterfront

    4
    40 reviews

In some ways it's just a glorified shopping center, but it is a darn fine glorified shopping center. There are some excellent retail shops in the mall, the aquarium is one of the best, there's awesome restaurants and cocktail lounges, and the place has a fun vibe with the various acrobats and Ladysmith Black Mambazo-like singers scattered throughout the area. ...

    Cape of Good Hope

    28 reviews

This was simply awesome. The two oceans meeting is one of the wonders of the world, and the scenery is spectacular. Watch out for the baboons, but enjoy an unforgettable day out.

    Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden

    22 reviews

I didn't do a whole tour of the gardens because I just went to a free concert there. Bring a picnic and a blanket!

    Cape of Good Hope Reserve

    4.5
    22 reviews

Don't know how many different ways you can review this on Gogobot, but great park. You definitely need a car. Hey have bus tours but cars give more flexibility. Enjoy the trails and be careful to lock your cars as the baboons will have a field day!

    Camps Bay Beach

    4.5
    22 reviews

Camps Bay's largest beach has white sand, pounding waves, and a view of Lion's Head. The popular beach is lined with palm trees, and hip restaurants and nightlife spots are right across the street.

    Chapman's Peak Drive

    4.5
    20 reviews

A beautiful drive which gives you views of the Atlantic Coastline and over to Camp's Bay. You can also see the Twelve Apostles. This is a toll road and you will need to keep hold of your ticket to go back the other way. There are lots of places to stop off with viewpoints.

    Two Oceans Aquarium

    4
    17 reviews

I rank this aquarium up there with Monterey Bay and my boyfriend, who isn't a sentimental Californian, reckons that it is even better. The exhibits are all very well done and the facility is really nicely laid out. There is a fantastic shark tank and the seals provide seemingly endless entertainment. It's right there at the Waterfront so combining this ...

    Robben Island

    4
    18 reviews

Our tour guide was an actual ex-prisoner of Robben Island and his stories were quite amazing. If you're interested in South African history it is especially informative and enlightening. The ferry out there also provides great photo opportunities for good shots of Cape Town.

    Table Mountain National Park

    4.5
    11 reviews

The views from the top of Table Mountain are some of the best in the entire world. The gondola to the top is closed when the winds are high, so be sure to check before you leave and make sure it's running. Otherwise be prepared for a rigorous hike up to the top.

    Kalk Bay

    4.5
    12 reviews

Kalk Bay is a bohemian and trendy suburb near Cape Town. It has a busy harbour and some lovely little shops and places to eat. Top of my list would be the Olympia Cafe and Deli for luxury eating, Kalkies for the best fish n chips in town and the Brass Bell for a good night in the pub with ...

    Clifton Beaches

    4.5
    10 reviews

Clifton comprises four small pearly white beaches, nestled in between massive boulders. While all of them are great, I prefer Beach 2 because it is most sheltered from the Southeasterly winds in summer. On hot days, parking can be a bit of a problem but the spectacular sunsets make up for that.
