In this very small, beautiful but hard to find chapel is the "veiled Christ." Absolutely wonderful sculpture. Kept passing the small side street that led to the chapel, but then finally asked someone....so keep looking and asking, and get there.Recommended for:

This is a really unusual place, one of the city´s best kept secrets. It is a church in the heart of the historical centre featuring some impressive artworks, including a sculpture entitled "Cristo Velato", which is known for the impressive details. On the basement, there are some ancient bodies whose organs and veins have been sort of "petrified" and are still well preserved, even though nobody knows how they did it to this day. A good example of how superstion, art, social costumes and religions crossed paths in Naples.Recommended for:

You really must visit Sansevero Chapel if you are in Naples. The chapel holds the sculpture of the Veiled Christ and it is said to be one of the most famous and impressive works of art in the world. The sculpture itself is stunning and the other sculptures that are in the small church are beautiful as well.
