One of the students gave us a tour in English for just the two of us. It's a good walk up the hill to reach the observatory, wear comfortable shoes or get a lift at the gate. It was raining on the day we went but there was a welcome overhang outside to stand under while we looked at the ...

Even though it's rained almost every day, the people are hospitable and generally kind. I read about the crime and have kept inside for the most part which has kept me shielded. I've stayed at the Hilton and there are nicer hotels but none that make you feel at home like this hotel does.

Las Galeras is a small, laid back beach town with a number of expat-run businesses--hotels and restaurants, mostly. It's also a great spot to explore gorgeous beaches, go hiking/diving/horseback riding, or do nothing at all but chill out in a hammock. I spent a week here and, honestly, never felt restless. If anything, I just wished I could have extended ...

This is where most of the action on Saba happens - from dining to booking adventures. Juliana's Hotel was an ideal location for exploring Windwardside on foot.

We loved the area, with quaint shops and restaurants nearby. El Yunque Rainforest was also nearby, and ended up being our favorite spot.

Mooie witte stranden en palmbomen, heel mooi van natuur, mooie en leerrijke excursies gedaan.

Georgetown reminds me of Singapore - it's just less humid. It's very clean and you see foreigners dressed up in business wear. It's likely because George Town is a big international banking hub. Nevertheless, the city itself isn't remarkable but they have enough restaurants and souvenir shops to keep you occupied.

La Romana, Dominican Republic- a hidden gem on the south eastern coast de la republica dominicana that keeps the soul vibrant with its colorful wildlife, the pallet flavorful with its limitless sancocho and your dry skin from the Dominican sun quenched with its Caribbean waters. Go and indulge in a few glasses if cubalibres (Brugal and Coca-Cola) and don't forget ...

French part of St.Martin: shops, markets, dining and beaches... Crepes with Passion fruit jam are strongly recommended. :)
