Largest city on the island of Jamaica. If you stay in Montego Bay you would only be about 10 minutes from the airport so it is really convenient. The beaches are good and the nightlife is even better! The city has what is called "The Hip Strip" which is all bars and nightclubs that cater to the tourists. It is ...

Even though it's rained almost every day, the people are hospitable and generally kind. I read about the crime and have kept inside for the most part which has kept me shielded. I've stayed at the Hilton and there are nicer hotels but none that make you feel at home like this hotel does.

Ocho Rios is beautiful and the people are wonderful! The drive there from the airport was a little scary with the way our driver weaved in and out of oncoming traffic but once there it was wonderful!

I love Grand Cayman. It's less well known than the other islands, so it is less trampled and crowded. That's changing though, as people have worn out Jamaica and the like.

A unique and impressive city. At once you can feel the opulance of the past wealth in the grand buldings, while also sensing the strife of people now as they struggle to keep cars and homes from deteriorating and earn a living in the underground economy. The Malecon is a defining characteristic of lifestyle here. I fully recommend staying in ...

Nassau is the capital of the Bahamas and is a popular cruise line stop from Miami on Royal or Carnival. If you are cruising, you can get off and visit local shops, or take a day pass trip to one of the hotels to enjoy the beaches, pools, and other amenities for about $25. If you have a little extra ...

Vieques is small and beautiful, mostly water activities to do, but also shopping and spas. People are friendly enough, and the food is delicious but a little pricey. Great for a family, maybe not the best for backpacking.

Skip the party at the beach and head into the center of San Juan, which is technically the oldest city under U.S. control, for an incredible spring break. The historic Old San Juan is chock-full of colorful houses, landmark attractions, and stately museums, plus plenty of restaurants serving traditional Puerto Rican Creole cooking. At night, dig into the local music ...

The area is dominated by all-inclusive resorts on white sand beaches. There are huge discounts down here during hurricane season. Great place to bask in the sun on the beach, but not the spot to get to know the people and the country. The people who go here, hardly leave the resorts.

The water is beautiful. The Atlantic ocean is a mix between a crystal clear and deep blue. The coral reefs are amazing, never seen anything like that in my life!

Rincon is beautiful, laid-back, friendly and inexpensive - a fun community full of travelling surfers and local fishermen. It was easy to navigate via car and has plenty of places to stay, eat and play. We were based out of Rincon for several days and explored the coast up to Isabella during the day. Thoroughly loved i!!. Local grocery stores ...

Very compact and the capital of Turks and Caicos. The island and particularly Providenciales is very small and compact. The city though small is clean but you won't want to stay here of you go to the island. The outlying hotels have some of the best beaches in the world. If you choose to go shopping then that would be ...
