The Seawall is a great place for a walk or run! Visit Tamarack Beach, the Lagoon, the Museum of Making Music, the Gemological Institute, Legoland, the Flower Fields, the Strawberry fields, Palomar Airport, plus lots of restaurants and shopping and nightlife spots.

Carlsbad is one of those beautiful San Diego suburbs with quaint cafes and seaside restaurants. It is truly one of my favorite places because it is not too crowded and charming.

A gorgeous city by the beach, Carlsbad is ritzier than its nearby "beach bum" neighbor of Oceanside, though less ostentatious than its southern neighbor, Del Mar. Still, real estate is a pretty penny, and views are stunning along the Coast Hwy or any of Carlsbad's clean, white-sanded beaches. Check out the outlets for retail bargains, or the slew of restaurants and grilles that congregate near the beaches - and don't forget to stroll along downtown Carlsbad, which will time warp you back to the 60s.

One of the best cities in the United States. Beautiful accessible beaches you can walk on for days. Carlsbad has lovely sunsets & sunrises, great places to dine, fun pubs, great brewery's and a few great wine bars. One of the best places to live in San Diego

The amazing landscapes that flow into the beach/ocean will leave you wondering why anybody would want to be anywhere else in the world. I love walking along the beach in the late evening and listening to the rolling waves take you where you always wanted to be...Carlsbad.

I love Carlsbad for the beaches, the scenery, and it is just still far enough north to get out of the hustle and bustle of San Diego's crowds. With Legoland and the Flower fields there is plenty of in-land eye candy as well. Great restaurants and friendly people. Lots of shopping options.

We rented a beach house here over the summer, across the street from the ocean. We loved watching the sunset every day and walking along the beach. It's great to be able to wake up in the morning, cross the street, and be on the beach. Legoland is a 10-minute drive from where we stayed and the kids love it.
