Just off the ultra busy/crowded Oxford street is a cute little street that offers unique boutiques, cool shops, and a more sane shopping environment that is Carnaby Street.Recommended for:

Carnaby Street is the epitome of London cool. Check out big name brands along side quirky boutiques.
There are plenty of pubs, bars and restaurants nearby as well - top pick is The Diner for American grub.Recommended for:

I just loved walking around saying to myself, "Hey, I'm on Carnaby Street!" It's such an iconic image from my past, Twiggy, the Beatles and the fashion world of the sixties. There are some neat little shops, and when I was there a unicycle riding juggler. You might like that, or perhaps not.

What to say about Carnaby Street: a concentrate of strange shops and very original people. The first time I went I saw a boy with a rat, keeping it as a domestic animal. It is a must go in London.

Carnaby Street is a great place to stroll and good for those looking for street style, retailers include Converse, G-Star and Levis to name a few, if you're looking for sneakers this is a good place to start. There's a great American Diner on this strip too, worth checking out for Americana style and great atmosphere.

We strolled Carnaby Street while exploring London's primary shopping areas. It appears that Carnaby's heyday is long gone. However, it fun to imagine what it was like in the "old days". Are any you old enough to remember those comical Carnaby Street fashions? Along with the Beatles, I wore some of those suits!

I often forget about this area of london but there are lots of cool shops. Teenagers would enjoy shopping here. If you like groovy clothes and funky home goods. This is worth putting on your list.

Once the epicenter of all things cool in the 1960's, Soho's Carnaby street now embodies a much more retail philosophy, lined with boutiques from some of the most iconic English and American Brands. Worth a stroll, and don't be afraid to venture through the side streets in the area, where the real gems are today.
