Carnation Cafe is one of the few places that offers Mickey Waffles for breakfast. My friends and I made plans to meet up for breakfast Sunday morning. I made reservations for us the day before online at Disney Dining Reservations website. Super easy. We weren't going to be surprised at the wait when we showed up.
We all got the waffles (since that's what we were there for!) and we each modified it to our own liking. One of my friends got the apple topping and bacon, the other got bacon and more bacon to go with his waffle and I got the chicken apple sausage and potatoes to go with my waffle. We enjoyed our breakfast. Service was good.
It's a bit pricey, we are in Disneyland after all. The waffles - which is one large Mickey head waffle and a side of bacon or sausage is about $11. I got a mocha which was $5. The side of potatoes was $3. Luckily we are annual passholders so we were able to knock down the prices a bit, so my total wasn't exactly $20 before tax and tip. This wasn't exactly a cheap breakfast, even with the discount, but it was a fun to meet up and enjoy some Mickey waffles.

We came here for breakfast since I saw that they have Mickey Mouse waffles. They stop serving breakfast at 11am...got there too late :( however we got seated pretty quickly outside. The baked potato soup is amazing! But at over $5 for the amount you get, it's expensive. The chicken fried chicken was delicious; comes with mashed potatoes, corn+edamame, and a small roll of bread. We ordered to share...you can imagine our surprise when it came and there was only one piece of chicken...$14+, come on, you ca give people 1-2 more pieces right? It was amazing though--the batter shell was spiced and the chicken was so juicy/tender. There was a gravy on top too. I recommend the pomegranate lemonade too!

Located right on Main Street U.S.A, where both the Carnation Ice Cream shop and the Flower Shop once stood, Carnation Café is steeped in history and fresh from a 2012 refurbishment. It was a favorite of Walt Disney, who often ordered the homemade meatloaf and fried chicken—dishes you can still enjoy here. The café also offers breakfast specialties like apple-granola pancakes.Recommended for:History Buffs
