The Salvador Dali’s House-museum in Port Lligat (near Cadaqués) is an interesting place to visit. He lived there with his wife Gala for over 40 years and gradually created a maze of attached structures, starting from a small fisherman’s hut in 1930s. Knowing Dali and his weird imagination, one can imagine what you get to see in this house. The windows of different shapes provide fascinating views of the bay and the grounds around the house. It’s fun to walk around and explore.

I'll confess; I'm not a huge Salvador Dali fan. So I'm glad I visited his house and museum, as I now think I get it (well, at least a bit more). I don't care if the local librarian had lived there; the house itself is worth a visit. Drop-dead gorgeous ocean views, white-washed walls draped in bougainvillea, lip-shaped couches. Don't miss nearby Cap de Creus, the national park where Dali got much of his inspiration.
