I yearly spend my birthday rewarding myself for another year of hardwork and everything so this year I aim to travel to Europe but might be alone as my friends' schedule are too tight in September. I love shopping and beautiful places with good food. What part of Europe should I visit for a week? Thank you

I definitely recommend you to come to Costa del Sol, southern Spain, specially Andalusia region is the most beautiful part of Spain, great food, great weather in Sept, kilometers of beaches, nightlife, great shopping options. You can visit Málaga, Seville, Cordoba, Granada, Ronda... so many amazing places to see. Highly recommend it.
And if you need an accommodation, you can stay at Medplaya Hotels here in Costa del Sol, particularly in Torremolinos, or Benalmádena Costa. Just 10 minutes by taxi from Malaga airport.
recommended SwitzerlandThe cities are wonderful yet it is the alps which I love most. Trains run most everywhere for smooth and reliable transportation.Daniel Lewis
Grab a flight for anywhere in Switzerland. Enjoy your arrival city then catch a train for the alps. Enjoy time in nature. Ideally you can catch a return flight out of another city to maximize your adventure.

But one visit to the city, and you will understand immediately why people flock there. There is so much to see and do that I find myself going back often. There are great places to shop, eat and sleep there, and there are so many churches, museums, palaces and works of art every where that you will just never be bored or wanting for something to do. It's also close to Siena and Pisa and not far from Rome either if you want to head down to the Italian capital for the day.Keith Preble
Florence is an amazing place -- you can do a lot of the same city shopping you can do in the big cities, the food is awesome, and there's so much to see and do. I think it is an "easy" city in Italy since it's easy to get around in English but also still possible to get out and feel like you're in Italy, too. It's a safe place, especially if you plan to travel alone, and it is well connected by train if you want to head to Rome for the day (or two days) or head to Pisa or Siena which aren't far and reachable by train and public transport. Plus, you can get around Florence easily just by walking around. The whole little city is an open air museum, and it never seems to disappoint.
