Located in Manhattan Valley (near Morningside Heights, Columbia, and Harlem) and just steps away from both Central Park and Morningside Park, this privately owned property features new and renovated studio apartments with full kitchens as well as private guest rooms with kitchenettes. All rooms have private bathrooms, which can be rare in a hostel or hotel at this budget! Plenty of bodegas are located in the area for quick meal or supply stops. Though not much of a lobby exists, a few couches and a cool mural on the entry wall suffice. Make sure to reserve in advance, as the studio apartments are great for extended visits (30 or more days) and can often book up early. Free wifi is available in all of the building.

Situated in a cute part of the Upper West Side, just blocks away from some of the newer shopping areas on Columbus Ave, the Central Park Inn is a nice inn that transformed itself from a hostel to a charming and recently renovated destination any traveler would be proud to stay at. This is more for people looking for a long-term stay - you have to commit to staying at least 1 month. They have some visitors that stay well up to 6 months or more.
If you choose to take an extended vacation in the big apple, this might be a more economical choice and it'll feel like you're renting an apartment in NYC. It's a walk-up and you can also cook your own food - there's a kitchenette in each room. You'll have to bring your own shampoo and toiletries and if you need to get your clothes washed, you will have to head over to the laundromat.
Central Park Inn features multilingual staff, a TV room, free wifi and access to a pool table.
Guestrooms say in studio apartments with their own private bathrooms in addition to a kitchenette, a toaster, a coffeemaker, a microwave and a refrigerator. Rooms comes with either two twin beds or one queen bed.
You may request housekeeping services once a week for a fee. Additional fees and deposits may be charged by the property at time of service, check in, or check out.
