This is for sure an inspiring place... you walk around the park for hours and still be amazed with its size and beauty.
The Strawberry fields is really nice and that "Imagine" mosaic is pretty beautiful and always has something honoring John Lennon and the Beatles.
We also took take horse carriage ride around the park, which is pretty romantic.

I could not recommend a trip to Central Park more. It is one of NYC's shining stars - and one of the few tourist attractions that New Yorkers actually go to.
And like NYC itself, different parts of the park offer different vibes. The low 60's is especially beautiful up against the backdrop of bustling Manhattan. It gets quieter further up, but no less beautiful. And if you can swing it, I don't know a single person who regrets heading uptown to visit the way underrated Conservatory Gardens.

Manhattan's only green lung of significance... and it's big... Bigger than London's Hyde Park but smaller than Sydney's Centennial Park. Hard to believe that sheep used to graze here right up to 1934. It's costs approximately $37.5m to maintain this place annually - not dissimilar to the number of visitors the place gets each year. Now if each one of them dug into their pocket for a buck a visit, that would be an interesting filip to its finances.

Taking up 843 acres and 6% of Manhattan Central Park is an oasis in the middle of a city full of concrete. This is where locals go to keep their sanity and relax. During the summer months there are endless concerts and events happening. Good Morning America summer concert series has concerts running throughout the summer from 7:00-9:00 am. Tickets are free but it's recommended to get there at 6:00 am to secure a ticket. There is also Shakespeare in the park running all summer long. Again tickets are free but you are encouraged to show up early in the morning to get in line. I recommend heading to sheep's meadow and picnicking during the afternoon. Thousands of people flock to this huge lawn to lay out and take in the amazing view of the city.

Central Park is big huge park in the middle of Manhattan. The park has many activities and museum located in around the area. Disability Access is limited in some spots and disability parking is still a big issue. Visit time is limited to only to your imagination can dream up.

I once had an opportunity to see Central Park from one of the skyscrapers on the edge of the park and wow! It's amazing to see with all these tall buildings around the outside a massive park just cut right into the center of the city. They also still offer traditional horse and carriage rides around the park area.

Who doesn't love Central Park? It's the best place to escape from the busy streets and crowded tourist attractions in the City. My Highlight: Go for a run.
