I first visited this bar with some friends when we were 15. We were good kids so they didn't mind serving us their famous bellini. Delicious.

    Campo S. Barnaba

This is one of the great secret spots that makes Venice so wonderful. A well-kept secret, this campo houses an extraordinarily beautiful chapel and although it can be a bit hard to find, this is one place in Venice that anyone who truly loves art and architecture should not fail to see. I would choose this over most of the ...

    Ai Gondolieri

    0.13 mi from Centurion Palace
    1 review

Venice is the most difficult place in Italy in terms of food, it is overwhelmed with the touristic, bad places. However if you want to experience fine Venetian dining, Ai Gondolieri is the one you should go... Amazing wine menu, seasonal touch on the menu, like asparagus in May, lovely atmosphere with character... Love this place.

In Venice, when the sun is shining and the weather is sweet, there's a place you can stop and rest your feet from tourist explorations with delicious drinks and gourmet cicchetti. The Gritti Palace is one of the fanciest hotels in this beautiful city, but you don't have to stay there to get to the essence of the place. If ...

    Le Cafè

    0.22 mi from Centurion Palace
    1 review

On my first visit to Venice, my friend and I continuously stumbled upon this cafe without having intended to. Granted, it's in the largest square in the San Marco sestiere (after San Marco itself). The cafe serves excellent toasts and pastries, but the stars of the menus are their delicious and exotic iced teas and their desserts which are actually ...

This pizzeria on the Giudecca Canal offers outdoor tables with a great view of the canal and reasonably priced menu items. The pigeons are too tame and jump on the tables.

Expensive but super romantic - this is true Venetian cuisine - fresh vegetables, asparagus, artichoke in spring. The fish is always simply grilled, the pasta and risotto are so fresh. I have been here many times - I love Calle del Scalete.

On my 3 visits to Venice, I've eaten here twice. Both occasions were excellent. The food was incredible and the service was perfect. Highly recommend any and all of the pasta dishes. They served an appetizer of fresh Parmesan cheese with a bit of honey - unusual combination but they complemented each other wonderfully.

    Antica Trattoria Poste Vecie

There is the cutest little wooden bridge entrance to this oldest trattoria in Venice, Poste Vecie is easy to find (right near the fish market), and if not come here for the traditional fare, come here to be part of nostalgia 500+ hundred years in the making.

    0.33 mi from Centurion Palace

Despite being in tourist-filled Piazza San Marco and having a ground floor caffés with outdoor seating where tourists flock, the upstairs one Michelin star restaurant serves fabulous food with all the extras and gourmet flourishes that all Michelin ranked restaurants offer. A luxurious meal and consequently, expensive.

Excellent, upscale, and pricy. We had a very very long meal here because we had decided to have a nice relaxing dinner. Didn't realize it was going to include going through three bottles of wine (oops, I think I just shared too much). If you want to splurge on a great meal, this is the place.

Another beautiful view of Venice from Giudecca, except this time it's Cipriani, an Italian trademark of elegance. What makes this restaurant original also is that it's a pontoon, floating, so truly dining on the water. For the most pleasant and comfortable experience make reservations and come here when the weather is nice, enjoy a delicious lunch, drinks, or dinner while ...

A really great local bakery! It's perfectly located in a lesser known neighborhood, and bustling with Italians. Recommended, you'll be solid with anything here. Coffee also seems to be a little cheaper here than the shops in the touristy areas.

The most eye-catching bakery I happened to pass in Venezia, I couldn't help but be lured into their store of delectable sights and smells. Everything is perfectly packed to be given as a lovely gift, though I believe such style also comes with a price. We tried the shortbread cookies with chocolate and they were a tasty, caloric snack for ...
