Despite being a large hotel, this feels like a private boutique hotel. Instead of one hulking building, the rooms are divided into 5 chalets, each with its own spa, so jacuzzi crowding is not an issue. The theme is ‘alpine cabin’ and it’s created to perfection. The bar and lounge off of the main reception are decorated with antlers and deer heads, yet have a modern, upscale feel, rather than a scary, hunting lodge vibe. The room was luxurious, with a fabulous deck and view of the Matterhorn – this hotel is high on a hill, but with a convenient lift to get right into town. I loved the bathroom - spacious, with both shower and bathtub options. Last, but not least, the restaurant – the outdoor deck with both tables and lounging areas (Matterhorn views of course), is the place to take your time for drinks and a nice leisurely meal, Zermatt-style.Recommended for:

Fashion oriented in every way. It’s located on the north-eastern side of Zermatt high above over looking the town and facing the Matterhorn, it’s just like looking at a painting. They have a series of 5 chalets that house a small number of rooms. The room I’m in, with FABULOUS bathroom looks to the Matterhorn and what’s great about this boutique hotel with all it’s modern wood and glass design is that the bed faces that exact view through the balcony window. 5 star service with smiles and assistance from everyone. The bar is very stylish and the restaurant menu took me a while to go through because everything on it looked fantastic and I wanted it all! Right in front of the hotel is an elevator that takes me down to the Sunnegga Funicular entrance and also from there the town is a few minutes walk awayRecommended for:
