Entirely vegan Japanese food that is fabulous. Try the Cha-Ya roll- it's a veggie roll that is dipped in tempura batter, fried, and sprinkled with their special sauce.
No reservations, cash only, and usually a long wait at dinner.

I came here with my vegetarian girlfriend and simply loved this place! I'm not a vegetarian but it's so good that I didn't even miss the meat.
We had sushi which I was skeptical about since I LOVE real sushi but the vegetarian sushi was great and I didn't miss the fish. We also had soup, noddles and various other dishes my friend usually orders. It was all delicious. Everything was very healthy too, an extra plus :)
I will be back to Cha-Ya the next time I'm in SF :)
