In an alpine town like Queenstown you'd expect half the buildings to look like little Swiss chalets - not so, this is the only one. That's not the only thing that sets this place apart - it also boasts a stunning interior and perhaps the friendliest staff in town. The Chalet has been around for years, but it took a change in ownership a few years ago to change everything. The rooms are compact but fresh, well lit and inviting. Nice views of the surrounds come standard as do comfortable beds, delicious breakfasts and a great central location. The friendly atmosphere flows through the whole place with guests struggling to leave, many coming back for a second, third and even fourth stay. The rooms are B&B style with everyone getting together in the morning for a meal before escaping to Queenstown and beyond to go on the days' adventure.

Chalet Queenstown, inspired by traditional Swiss design, yet filled with modern conveniences, is warm, stylish and contemporary. Situated just a five to ten minute stroll from the centre of town, each ensuite room has a balcony with beautiful lake and/or mountain views and decadent furnishings including feather down duvets and pillows. The European style breakfast is a great way to start the day before you set out on your adventures for the day. The downstairs lounge with it’s comfortable cream sofas is a lovely place to put your feet up with a glass of wine and let Alex and his wonderful staff do the wonderful job that they do of making you feel right at home. Once you’ve stayed here once, you’ll be looking forward to your next stay before you’ve even left!
