Although this is a 4 star hotel, it’s obviously slipped from its former glory - it’s somewhat scruffy around the edges and could do with a little general maintenance as everything looks a little worn. There is no WIFI in the room but there is in the reception area and hall. Continental breakfast is served on the top floor with lovely views over the city, the breakfast room is next to a conference room which looks rather grand but unfortunately is not open to the public. The bedrooms could do with a little updating, especially the bathrooms (very annoying shower curtains) and the bedspreads and TV are old, but who wants to watch telly in Rome? The location is central and convenient, close to Termini station. The receptionist very helpful and speaks excellent English. Housekeeper a little scary… but great character - a genuine Italian Signora!Recommended for:

Not sure what makes this place a four star hotel, but I shall digress.... The best thing is the location near Termini but the neighborhood is insane with all the sellers and stalls clogging the sidewalks. Also, at night, it seemed a bit sketchy. The hotel, though, is ok although for four stars I would expect more in the way of amenities. It is a bit on the high side rate wise for my liking, but it is clean and maybe in need of a spruce up.

We stayed here for our 3 days in Rome. It wasn't bad but wasn't great either. The air conditioning didn't work properly and we were new to the idea of power that only works when the key card is in place, so that was odd. I guess it's more of a standard thing now though, so no big deal. The staff wasn't overly friendly.Recommended for:
