    Husk

    13 reviews

Husk follows the same kind of style that is popular for a lot of Charleston restaurants: it looks like a house, feels like a home, and serves food that you feel has been passed down for generations. Definitely get their catfish if you see it on the menu - tender on the inside, perfectly browned on the outside and served ...

    Basil Thai Cuisine

    8 reviews

My favorite restaurant. Ever. Not just in Charleston. Not just for Thai food. No, period, in the world. Why? Basil literally meets everything and more you could ask for in a restaurant. Location: Basil sits on one of Charleston's most popular streets for shopping, nightlife, and tourism. So, for that reason alone, before or after having a bite, there is ...

    Poogan's Porch Restaurant

Okay, yes: I'm addicted to she crab soup (most of my reviews of South Carolina mention it in some way). But Poogan's Porch serves the best of the best, along with butterily perfect biscuits and crisp fried alligator. They serve up all the SC favorites, but with modern twists: fried chicken with smoked gouda, shrimp and grits topped with blue ...

    Halls Chophouse

    3 reviews

Full disclosure: I don't like beef. That said, my spouse loved his huge serving of red meat. My chicken was very good. We came as soon as it opened for the night and started in the bar. Wide selection of cold cuts, cheeses, fruit and crackers. Service was professional and they know their business. Looking forward to going back.

    The Grocery

    4 reviews

Evoking memories of a small town grocery at 4 Cannon Street, executive chef and owner Kevin Johnson has created a warm gathering place with a seasonal menu featuring local and regional farmers & fishermen. Do not miss the charcuterie and fresh local fish and seafood. I recommend ordering one of their craft beers which tastes so right in front of ...
