One of the most fun and romantic cities I've ever been to. Lots of amazing food, great entertainment, beautiful architecture, the beach, great weather. I would move here if I could!

Ah, yes, the southern ladies in their big hats, the elegance of the city, the Civil War sites, the magnolias, the big old plantation houses.

This is one the most beautiful romantic places in the USA. I can't get come here enough. The food is amazing from McCardy's to Husk to local spots like Vickeries or Fish. The people are some of the kindest , always happy to have a chat and catch up. Sullivan's Island has a gorgeous beach and Poe's Bar has a wonderful burger. If you have a chance to head here, do it.

Charleston is a charming, historic walking city. You will find wonderful restaurants (try Magnolia Grill, Poogan's Porch, or Cru Cafe...reservations a must). Get the Shrimp & Grits at Magnolia, eat a biscuit at Poogan's and anything at Cru! Take a boat out to the fort. Tour the USS Yorktown aircraft carrier. Walk the open air market (get a hot prailine at a candy shop). Take a ghost tour. Visit any of the plantations. Take a quick trip to Isle of Palms beach. There are so many things to do! Jog along the "battery" waterfront and gaze at the historic mansions. It's amazing!

This is a gorgeous seaside town with a lot of history. There are two rivers that converge nearby- take a ferry boat tour, with dinner, lots of fun. There is also a naval history museum on a retired battleship. Old town Charleston is kind of pricey for hotels and restaurants but worth it if you can swing it. The cobblestone streets and gas laps give a romantic atmosphere for evening walks on cooler spring nights. Pretty hot after June 1st though!
