In 1969, Walter Cronkite reported on EPA's decision that Chattanooga was the dirtiest city in America. But visitors would never guess it today. The city has made significant eco-friendly legislation since the '60s and is now a crown jewel of sustainable living and green business. Stroll through the newly renovated waterfront area, including a five-mile riverwalk, several family parks, pedestrian bridges and bike paths. Other attractions include an internationally renowned aquarium, hip boutique shops in the North Shore neighborhood, art districts and museums, like Bluff View, and Ruby Falls, the world's largest underground waterfall.

Chattanooga is in a prime location for outdoor activities while still having a good size town to find coffee and awesome food in. Lookout Mountain is a good day trip up the crazy 30 degree angle train, you can go on a private caving trip at Raccoon Mountain with the awesome tour guides, hike in the smokys or hang out in the park on the river. Nice little town to hang out in!

Chattanooga is a wonderful city with many unforgetable attractions. In my opinion, the Tennessee Aquarium, located in the downtown area, is one of the best aquariums in the nation. Also the downtown
IMax 3D theatre is worth a visit for they are always showing great movies in 3D. And if you have the time, check out the Chattanooga riverfront. You won't be disappointed.

What can I say. i was there 6 years ago when they started renovating the city and it was OK back then . Now however they have renovated a good chunk of it and it is like night and day. The down town river front area is full of beauty and splendor with shops and restaurants . The Aquarium is a treat and the art district has some spectacular shops and museums. The incline Rail , Rock City, and Ruby falls are simply breath taking examples of nature . All in all it has something for every one and the city has done a great job renovating. A must see.

I have gone on vacation here once and I have fond memories of it. There are a lot of things to do here. The scenery is beautiful and I want to go back again with my husband one day. Highly recommend it for someone who wants to get away from it all.
