Chatuchak Market is a good introduction of Bangkok life. Even though a lot of shops are aiming to get foreign tourists, the food, the people and the culture are charming. Great place to shop as well. Haggling is must. If you need light summer cloths, there are plenty of options. Good places to eat as well.

awesome way to spend a Sunday morning, the sheer size and scale of the market is astounding. a short walk from the BTS station makes it super easy to get to and it backs up to a lovely park which is a nice relief from the bust hustle and bustle of the streets and traffic. Make sure to come ready to bargain.

There are a lot of people but worth the trip. This market offers so many thing that will keep u exploring for hours. After a long day of fighting the heat and negotiating with vendors go relax by the adjacent park! You can rent straw mats to sit on in the park for about 20 baht.

Check out this Thai Old Charm known as Talad Rot Fai. It is a weekend vintage and 2nd hand market that is gaining popularity among Bangkok's hipsters, subculture or an oldie, sentimental guy like me :). Talad means market and Rot Fai means train in local language. Largest crowd on Sat nite with some bars, delicious street food and 1,200 stalls. Located near Chatuchak; must take a cab from Mo Chit BTS stn.
