Chelsea Lodge

318 West 20th Street, New York City, NY 10011
3 reviews

Not the fanciest place in town, but certainly not the worst and you are located in a great part of Manhattan - Chelsea. The rooms are a bit tight on space but you may find yourself hardly noticing the lack of space because you're always out exploring, unless of course you opt for the suites, which cost more but can ...

    Barneys New York CO-OP Chelsea

    0.15 mi from Chelsea Lodge
    4 reviews

Skews more urban and younger than the mother ship. Great for jeans, t-shirts, and other casual clothing. The Chelsea outlet has a good selection of men's and women's. There is also a good sized Co-op floor at the main store. Soho is women's only.

A decent option in Chelsea. Definitely classier than most. A bit generic but a fine place to start an evening in the neighborhood.

Swank speakeasy-style lounge connected to the Dream Downtown. A very intimate space. You can enter through the alley or from within the hotel. A good place to grab a few drinks and enjoy a little people watching. Can be tough to get into.

The Joyce puts on many dance shows in it's cosy and comfortable theater. It could use a bigger lobby, but it has no place to put a space for people to wait for their friends.

Cozy, hip, friendly hotel lounge. A great place to gather around the fire place for a drink in the winter. Certainly not a scene but draws a steady flow of young professionals and the occasional celebrity. Dog-friendly so feel free to bring the pooch.

Bonus points for always having a man standing near the movie theater exit with delicious mints!! Where else does that happen in NYC?! I like this theater. It doesn't really have anything special, nor is it new, but it's kind of quaint and I've never seen it too crazy and hectic - which is unheard of in an NYC movie ...

The Union Square Greenmarket is the perfect stop if you're on the way to a picnic, or just want some fresh produce and unique homemade goods to brighten up your pantry. I had some excellent hot cider here, as well as some really tasty duck sausage and ostrich jerky. My favourite was the sheep's milk cheese with caraway seeds. Everything ...

There is something really lovely about walking down the high line on a sunny day in NYC. From locals looking to soak up some nature to tourists exploring the old railway turned park, it is a great way to see the green side to New York!

A traveller's delight. This hidden gem is off the tourist circuit but deserves more of the spotlight. Well-curated and educational without being excessively detailed. A great place to learn about the art of the Himalayas. The temple replica is easy to miss but is a highlight so keep an eye out -- that dark hidden corner is a must-see. You ...

One of the more attractive neighborhoods in the city. What's not to like about Washington Square Park and mom and pop retail. The proximity to NYU makes things a bit crowded and pulls them down market a but this is a must see in the city.

B&H is a dream come true for anyone interested in photography or cinematography. A warehouse sized store that is run by Hasidic Jews, B&H has as much charm as it has products! I love coming here for my 35mm film, as their selection is incredible and the prices are very reasonable.

As an artsy kid growing up just outside of New York City I was and still am a huge Broadway fan! And yes, I love musical theater! Believe me I know it's not for everyone but if you are in NYC you should really give the theater a go if you are even the slightest bit inclined.
