The Chelsea Market consist of more than 20 food related wholesale and retail businesses, all connected by a main concourse. The market spans an entire city block between 15th and 16th Streets and 9th and 10th Avenues in the Chelsea district of Manhattan. The concourse runs through a series of buildings that were built between 1880 and 1930, anchored by what was once the original Nabisco Oreo Cookie factory. This unique and historic space offers an opportunity to purchase quality food direct from the source. Fascinating place!

This place is so cute. Grab a hot or cold drink (depending on the weather) and take it to High Line that is just around the corner.

Tons and tons of great choices - which makes it pretty crowded and kind of overwhelming, at least for the quick stop I had in mind. Next time I go, I'll plan on spending a bit more time there, reading the reviews of places, and picking something delicious to eat

RonnyBrook Dairy in Chelsea Market, NYC. 15th st tween 9th& 10th ave( not 29th st as google may say)

Mac & cheese was yummy. Bit of a wait and 9$ a bit much,..so try out a Shake or Ice Cream!
    By far their most popular.

Definitely a place to stop by and check out when you're in NYC. Near the Highline, it has a ton of food spots and specialty shops to check out. I'd be surprised if there wasn't something for everyone there!

The last time I went, there was a new store that carried a bunch of local artist items...sort of like an Etsy Store!!

This place is the foodies heaven. There are so many little restaurants and stands with stuff to try out. The internal design of the building is also really nice and inviting. Its the perfect place to go on a cold sunday morning.

I love Chelsea Market! There's so much to shop here and it's mostly small mom and pops and artists. It's a great spot for grabbing some food and to do some shopping for yourself or for friends/family. The stuff here is so unique.

Bustling! Full of gorgeous food and little quirky shops. The Filling Station have rows of drums of oil and vinegar in every flavour imaginable and the opportunity to taste them all.

You're already going to be in the neighborhood trekking along the Highline while in NYC. Why not stop inside this gorgeous foodie/artisanal/boozy marketplace and spend a little cheddar? Bonus: The Food Network studios are located upstairs in the building, and it's not uncommon to see some of the famous foodie faces picking out produce in the shops.

Nice selection of food places here. They also have some nice dessert places here too. It is close to the water and a few blocks away from High Line park.

With an entire galaxy of tasty food options in a funky rehabilitated building, Chelsea Market may be the best place in the entire city for an afternoon of grazing. The restaurants and stalls selling everything from Mexican to bakery to seafood are top-notch, and afterwards Greenwich Village is right nearby to walk off your food coma.

An Italian market wannabe, this Meatpacking haven of all sorts of restaurants, dessert delights and fresh seafood is a great option for a bite to eat in the neighborhood. What's not so great is the crowds of people at all times of day and night, making it virtually impossible to ever get a table.

I love marketplaces and the variety they bring. Chelsea Market is no exception. I find the variety of foods and the quality to be surprising. I can see why this spot is so popular.

Tons of food options here and (even better) space for kids to run around out of their strollers and with no cars/things to worry about. Its a place everyone will enjoy being. Breakfast or lunch. Or even good for running around on a rainy day

An interesting market with cute cupcake stores and art gallery exhibits. The interior is a mix of old industrial grit and cutting edge lighting. It's also huge.

Chelsea Market is a herb, spice, and bakery wonderland located in the Meatpacking district. If you are not into cooking or baking you might have the urge after trying some of the creative spices and herbs that stimulate the taste buds. I was only aware of table salt prior to my visit, but I learned quickly that salts can come in various flavors.

Touristy - yes, expensive - yes but I forgive all that for the Lobster Place, Fat Witch Bakery and Bowery Kitchen Supply.
