    Cheng Hoon Teng Chinese Temple whic is believed to be the oldest Chinese Temple in Malaysia with inscription dating back to 1685.

    Malaysia's oldest functioning temple, Cheng Hoon Teng is devoted equally to three doctrines—Taoism, Confucianism, and Chinese-Buddhism. There is a constant flow of worshipers here making it one of the most interesting stops on a walk around the old town.

    Cheng Hoon Teng Temple was constructed in 1673 and is Malaysia’s oldest functioning temple. Admission is free, so it’s worth a visit.

The oldest active Chinese temple in Malaysia, the Cheng Hoon Teng (“Temple of Bright Clouds”) was commissioned more than 300 years ago by a Chinese fugitive who had escaped to Malaysia and made a fortune.
