Interesting little area, but there are far more interesting places to see in Quebec! I suspect it is far more interesting in winter when you can skate here. In the summer, I say just wander right on through here and stop somewhere with a view like the Plains of Abraham!

Another beautiful Basilique! One of the seven Holy Doors in the world is located here. Since they're celebrating its 350th year the pope has granted permission for the door to be open to the public for the remainder of the year. Quite an honor to be able to walk through there!

This store has just about everything maple that you can imagine, and even some things that you can't imagine, including maple body products. If it's made of maple, it's probably here.

    Quartier Petit Champlain

0.39 mi from Chez Boulay Bistro Boréal

By far, my favorite and most memorable part of the trip to Quebec City. Quartier Petit Champlain is an area of Old Quebec, namely, the oldest commercial district in North America. Today, all of its historical facades are preserved with brand new stores and restaurants on the sides of the street. Walking down the narrow street of la rue du ...

This was my favorite area in Quebec City! Mainly this was due to the great feel of a small European town due to the small shops and architecture. It almost had me fooled! So if you're looking for European scene without the pricey ticket, this would appease you for a bit!

Nice garden on the Plains of Abraham, but small. Visit around Halloween for a special exhibition about some of Quebec's legends.

Really interesting collection of goods relating to Quebec history in the permanent collection - I learned a lot about the area history and Anglophone / Francophile conflict.

What an incredible and unique sight. Near the Place Royale, the Québecois Fresco is the first of a series of wall arts completed in Quebec City as a reminder of the past. The site is located at the ruins of several houses which was first burnt down in the 15th century, rebuilt, bombed and demolished a few times more in ...
