This is definitely one of my favorite hotels in Chicago. Lobby is beautiful and the staff will do everything they can to help. I had to leave the car out front on Michigan Avenue for an hour to wait for a friend, and they were accommodating. Also, there is a Starbucks adjacent to the lobby which was extremely convenient for ...

Such a beautiful, elegant place have Sunday brunch or Afternoon Tea. I love having excuses like this to dress up in my Sunday best and spend a slowly paced afternoon with loved ones. I also love how much sunlight their large windows bring in. Really sets the tone of this place.

I like shots and fist pumping as much as the other guy... so maybe that's why I'm not bothered by all the fun that's to be had at the rooftop bar here. Midwesterners only get so many places to do this kind of thing. And only recently have we been able to do it loudly and with abandon. Can't hold ...

Great if you're staying in the near tower. But if you're a priceline customer, they are probably going to stick you in the far building, which is a long walk.

I recently stayed at the Park Hyatt Chicago and had an excellent stay. This is definitely one of the best hotels in Chicago. My friends and I traveled to Chicago mainly to dine. We were lucky enough to score a table at Next: El Bulli. This was a once in a lifetime experience. The Park Hyatt made our stay even ...

From one the window of a spacious corner suite on the 34th floor, I must have had one of the best views of anyone in the city of the Chicago Air and Water Show’s southern terminus at Oakton Street Beach. The other window wall looked straight up the Miracle Mile. I was so well-located for seeing the sights, in fact, ...

Located in just a stone’s throw from Michigan Ave., Omni Hotel is close enough to pretty much anything you need. Pizzeria Uno isn’t too far away, if you’re feeling like stuffing yourself with Chicago’s original deep-dish pizza, and Pippin’s is a decent, nearby old-school dive to have a beer. The décor of the hotel features a lot of dark woods ...

This is the cutest, modern, chic boutique hotel in Chicago. I stumbled upon this while browsing around State St and found their lobby to be significantly more happening on a random Tuesday night (abide this was during a holiday weekend) than any other place. I got curious and walked into this amazingly setup lobby with a wanna-be fire place! The ...

It was so hot and exhausted when I finally got to the lobby. I guess one of the staff members saw that because he brought me bottled water. The décor made me feel like I was back in Roman times with lots of marble, pillars, and sculpture. Someone told me that Étienne Balsan, Coco Chanel’s benefactor, designed the formal looking ...

When the hotel has a few unsold rooms, you can occasionally snag a deal through Priceline or Expedia. In addition to the super-convenient location, I found the staff at the Millennium Knickerbocker to be very helpful. When you’re in the hospitality business, that’s a pretty big plus.
