    The Palmer House Hilton

    The Palmer House Hilton

    Hotel Class:
    4.5
    29 reviews

rooms are dated but that is what you expect with a hotel from the 1800's. Halls are cool to browse and see photos of stars playing the Empire in the 50's - 70's and what years they were there. Easy walk to parks, navy pier, mueseums, etc. Our room was very small but apparently they vary greatly.

I didn't get inside of the building but just from the outside you can say that it's one of the most awesome highrises in Chicago. Impossible to walk around without noticing this huge and beautiful building.

    Hyatt Regency Chicago

    Hyatt Regency Chicago

    Hotel Class:
    4
    16 reviews

This place has been RENOVATED! (as of 8/24/2011) so many of the previous reviews may not apply if you see folks complaining about old, outdated decor and musty corridors. First, the Hyatt Regency in Chicago is the largest Hyatt Regency in the US. They have over 2044+ rooms and two large towers. Compared to Vegas, that may seem like nothing ...

    W Chicago Lakeshore

    Hotel Class:

This is a great hotel with beautiful views of the Lake and Navy Pier. It can be quite windy because you are by the water but it's a short cab ride from the Loop and Rush Street if you are going to dine at any restaurants there. The restaurant Wave is excellent and the concierge team can recommend some wonderful ...

    Hard Rock Hotel Chicago

    Hard Rock Hotel Chicago

    Hotel Class:
    4
    13 reviews

I'm a total geek when it comes to music memorabilia, so I always love the Hard Rock hotels. Each floor is themed around a musical group; we stayed on "Chicago," which was fitting. Wish there was a pool, but it was a chic, comfy stay near a Lake Michigan beach and everything else we wanted to see.

This hotel is pretty breathtaking. I walked in and was in awe of the lobby and then someone told me that the lobby was actually on the seventh floor. The actual lobby is opulent and open, with well-picked paintings on every wall. It blends seamlessly into the Alllium restaurant and bar/lounge (if this place weren’t so close to the Mag ...

    Omni Chicago Hotel

    Hotel Class:

My mom and sister stayed at this hotel when they came to visit last summer and they were really happy with their room. One of my favorite features is the separation between the living area and the sleeping area, each with an entrance to the bathroom. The arm chairs are really comfortable, and there's a tiny kitchenette with coffee maker ...

    Hotel Palomar Chicago

    Hotel Class:

This is a gorgeous hotel, which is very well situated--close to the Magnificent Mile. I want to start off by disclosing that I had some initial complaints about the service I received at check-in that had me furious! The work done by the staff, including the General Manager to make sure that the rest of my stay was enjoyable spoke ...

Absolutely my fav hotel in the city, I'm so sad it was bought out and turned from a boutique to a chain (albeit a really nice chain). Ria is reconcepting (best seafood by far in the landlocked Midwest) and currently closed, but was phenomenal. More hotels should adopt the no trip policy, it really puts the emphasis on hospitality.

    MileNorth

    MileNorth

    Hotel Class:
    4.5
    8 reviews

A modern hotel located in Streeterville, MileNorth is a good pick for those who like updated décor and proximity to lots of shopping. Though MileNorth is close to lots of shops and restaurants, the street it’s on doesn’t feel too busy. The dim lobby is easy on the eyes, but also sorta funny, since it features an abstract-light design behind ...

This was from a stay I did in 2008, so things may have changed... I really enjoyed staying here. This boutique hotel has all the amenities of a high-end chain, but also included a lot of neat little add-ons you don't normally see. The check-in counter is a glass display case full of old glassware and some of them are ...

    Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel Chicago

In addition to the super-convenient location, I found the staff at the Millennium Knickerbocker to be very helpful. When you’re in the hospitality business, that’s a pretty big plus. Inside, the hotel boasts ornate ceilings and chandeliers and all sorts of fancy touches, all of which add to the experience of grabbing a drink in the lobby bar or generally ...

The Raffaello brings Glazed and Infused and drumBAR all in one building. If that's not enough of a selling point, I don't now what is?! But seriously, this hotel is absolutely gorgeous. From the marble floors to the large, hanging chandelier, the Raffaello screams luxury. Even the red brick exterior is beautiful. My favorite view was looking down on the ...

The rooms here are so massive! It is so nice to have room in a hotel. The beds are the perfect size as well: large. This hotel really makes you feel pampered. Every detail speaks of luxury. The beds are air soft. The standing rain showers are so great they should be featured. There is also a separate room for ...
