    Chicago Getaway Hostel

    Chicago Getaway Hostel

    Hotel Class:
    3.5
    7 reviews

This hostel is big on creating community. There are a ton of communal areas: kitchen, TV room, back patio, pool table, meeting room, plus bulletin boards full of info about what to do and where to go for a good time in the neighborhood. They also have bikes, guitars, and computers for guests to use or rent. The staff is ...

    Days Inn Chicago

    Days Inn Chicago

    Hotel Class:
    3.5
    5 reviews
Excellent! - 85% of guests recommend

The rooms at the Days Inn range from small to smallest, but they're clean and cozy. I stayed here once before I moved to Chicago and really enjoyed my room and the location. Parking is a little less expensive than a lot of other hotels with valet parking, and they give you in-and-out privileges. Lincoln Park is a great neighborhood, ...

    City Suites Hotel

    Hotel Class:
    3.5
    5 reviews
Very Good! - 80% of guests recommend

Far from fancy, City Suites nevertheless offers the essentials for those looking to stay away from downtown. I didn’t feel like the hotel was particularly spacious, though the location is probably its biggest selling point. Belmont Avenue offers several shops and restaurants within the immediate vicinity, and visitors can also catch a concert or movie at nearby Vic Theater. Wrigley ...

    Red Roof Inn

    Red Roof Inn

    Hotel Class:
    2.5
    6 reviews

This is a shabby hotel with a fantastic location. It's not pretty--the furniture in the lobby has seen brighter days, and the red walls and carpet in some rooms make them seem even tinier than they are--but it's fine enough for sleeping and showering if that's all you plan to do in your room. The price is right, certainly. There's ...

    Ohio House Motel

Good! - 77% of guests recommend

I love the retro feel of this motel. It looks a little out of place on a Chicago street corner, especially in a neighborhood like River North, but I think it's a gem. The rooms are small but clean, and the staff is super friendly. I would definitely recommend this to students and other low-maintenance types (no concierge service here, ...

    Marriott Chicago Midway

    Hotel Class:
    3.5
    3 reviews
Excellent! - 85% of guests recommend

This hotel is just a mile away from Midway Airport and there's a free shuttle between the two locations. It's a bit far from downtown (about 40 minutes on public transit and more than I'd care to spend on a taxi), but there are worse fates. There's a restaurant and a Starbucks on site, so you've really got all you ...

Gorgeous hotel! Did you know this is where the brownie was invented? Bertha Palmer asked the hotel chefs to create a sweet treat for the women's Pavilion at the world's Columbian exposition of 1893.

The hotel is slightly older but well-maintained. The views are amazing and depending on the floor that you're on you can see an up close skyline of Chicago. I love that you walk out of the door and you're in the center of the city. And the junior size Olympic swimming pool is to die for!

If you want to stay somewhere famous, The Drake is the place for you! Not only has this extravagant hotel starred in movies like What Women Want, Mission: Impossible, and Risky Business, it has also hosted Princess Diana. Even my grandmother tells me stories of when she and my grandpa stayed here decades ago.

Really like the James. They are a pet friendly modern hotel right off Miracle Mile. Close to shopping, lots of restaurants and other sites you'd want to visit in Chicago. Rooms are modern and welcoming and I have nothing bad to say about the service.

The location is excellent. Water taxi nearby, magnificent mile just a few steps away. Keefer's restaurant just a few minutes away. Nothing to complain about the hotel - just a normal business hotel. Wifi availability was not good around the hotel conference areas. The conference areas were a maze with some places quite far apart.

The Park Hyatt has lots of design touches packed into its intimate setting. In addition to its sophisticated interior design, there is also fine art throughout the lobby and the chairs in the rooms are designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.

It was a treat to show up at 5pm while the complimentary wine, beer, and cocktails were being served. They also had some great flatbreads. The service is the best attribute of the Palomar though. The staff is extremely accommodating, and the valet attendants remembered me when I came back down. There is top-notch pool and fresco terrace, and my ...

Uber-fancy hotel, bar and restaurant... and yet, I would like a little more personality out of a venue. Everyone is so buttoned-up, it can be a little stiff, which has its place, of course. Restaurant and lavish bar room are everything you would expect. Rooms have incredible views, beautiful furnishings... I would stay here to be romantic and not to ...

I wasn't very impressed with Hotel Sax. It shares a driveway with the House of Blues, and just walking up to the front entrance made me feel a little claustrophobic. Inside, the lobby is nice, but its decor (pretty fancy) doesn't quite match up with the feel of the guestrooms. Rooms are kind of drab, the decor is almost cheesy ...

    Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel Chicago

This is a lovely, historic building right between Lake Michigan and Michigan Ave. The lobby is impressive with high ceilings and antique touches; the front desk is tucked away in the corner so the first thing you see is an espresso bar when you walk in. The rooms are nice, but mostly unremarkable. Overall, I thought the Knickerbocker was a ...

Conrad Chicago is the epitome of luxury, and despite the fireplace in the lobby, it left me feeling just a little bit cold. It's beautiful, and the rooms are quite large for a hotel in downtown Chicago (especially the bathrooms, which have both showers and deep bathtubs). It does have free wifi, which is pleasantly surprising, along with slippers and ...
