    The Palmer House Hilton

    The Palmer House Hilton

    Hotel Class:
    4.5
    29 reviews

Spent a few days in this luxury hotel since we attended a major event held here. What else can I say but the rooms are spacious with enough luxury, pricey of course but we were given a slight discount as delegates. Right at the centre of the city with all the shops around. Very accessible and ideal place to stay.

Such a beautiful, elegant place have Sunday brunch or Afternoon Tea. I love having excuses like this to dress up in my Sunday best and spend a slowly paced afternoon with loved ones. I also love how much sunlight their large windows bring in. Really sets the tone of this place.

Even my grandmother tells me stories of when she and my grandpa stayed here decades ago.

    Hyatt Regency Chicago

    Hotel Class:

    16 reviews

A treat for business travelers, elegant, functional, and super comfortable. However, it is massive and somewhat commercial. Service was dynamic and efficient. The area is good, just a few mins walk to 'Magnificent Mile' and 'Millennium Park. Do explore: visit the 'Art Institute of Chicago’; it has a great Impressionism and post-impressionism collection.

Located in just a stone’s throw from Michigan Ave., Omni Hotel is close enough to pretty much anything you need. It was a treat to show up at 5pm while the complimentary wine, beer, and cocktails were being served. They also had some great flatbreads. The service is the best attribute of the Palomar though. Absolutely my fav hotel in the city, I'm so sad it was bought out and turned from a boutique to a chain (albeit a really nice chain). Ria is reconcepting (best seafood by far in the landlocked Midwest) and currently closed, but was phenomenal. More hotels should adopt the no trip policy, it really puts the emphasis on hospitality.

Hotel Sax is all about hip, swank luxury. It's at the base of Marina City (those corn cob towers dotting the city skyline), and is located literally steps (as in maybe 30) from the House of Blues.
