WOW, Go to this place. Food is very good. We ordered the following: Foie Gras Mouse Burger - Excellent. Super yummy. A Must Order if they have it. Foie Gras & Fries - Excellent. A Must Order too. Phil's Poutine - Excellent. It's a sunny side egg on fries. (Simple right?) not really. Try it for yourself. it's very good. ...

This is my favorite brunch spot in Chicago. A good mix of Southern-influenced options. The menu is massive so there is something for everyone. I could eat the corn cakes here all day. Expect to wait if you arrive after 10:30 or 11 on a weekend. Good news is that the tables turn pretty quickly. The coffee here is TERRIBLE ...

This place is great! After seeing a matinee performance of the million dollar quartet we stopped here to escape the polar vortex. Ordered DAS BOOT, a glass boot filled with 9 beers, definitely to share with friends, requires a card to hold deposit (just in case you get das drunk and drop it). You also have to order the soft ...

    Lou Malnati's Pizzeria

    52 reviews

Deep Dish Pizza Yum!! My Friend Gem saw I was visiting her hometown of Chicago, she sent me a list of places I might be interested in going to. For Deep dish pizza, she recommended going to Lou Malnati's. I have never had a deep dish pizza and what better place to try it than in Chicago. Fortunately, Lou Malnati's ...

San Soo Gab San Korean BBQ

Great Korean BBQ Spot. Went with a large group, always a great time. Lots of Galbi and Bulgogi to go with the delicious sides. Loud environment and charcoal grills only add to the experience.

    Green Mill

    10 reviews

If you are a poet or a poetry lover, you owe it to yourself to visit The Green Mill the next time you're in Chicago. Home of the Uptown Poetry Slam, a weekly event that got started in 1986, The Green Mill has seen many of Chicago's--and the world's--best poets on stage. Even if spoken word poetry isn't your thing, ...

    Kuma's Corner

There are three things you'll notice when you walk into Kuma's for the first time. 1) The loud heavy metal music. 2) The pierced, tattooed crowd. 3) The long wait. Do not be deterred. The burgers: huge, juicy, covered in unique and flavorful toppings. They're heavy metal themed, with names like Megadeath and Slayer, and finishing one will make you ...

    Avec Restaurant & Wine Bar

    11 reviews

The food at Avec is, truly, the best I've ever tasted. My sister and I sat at the bar, and the bartender was friendly and attentive, helpful with the menu. He chose a bottle of wine for us that turned out to be perfect with the pork shoulder we shared as an entree. The dessert, shortbread cookies with sherbet, was ...

    Lillie's Q

    6 reviews

Lots of good stuff to eat here, though the prices are a bit high for the portions. I love the tri-tip sandwich (southern style--the cole slaw is good!) and the mac and cheese. The sweet potato fries are also tasty (though way on the sweet side, so be sure you're prepared for that), as are the hush puppies. They've got ...

    Longman & Eagle

    15 reviews

This Logan Square spot is hugely popular with the hipster set in the neighborhood, and with good reason. They have a great drink menu (especially if you like bourbon) and an interesting food menu. I'd give it five stars, but every now and then you order something that's a little less than awesome. The dessert is always a highlight, and ...

    Bourgeois Pig Cafe

    4 reviews

The Bourgeois Pig is a great place to meet a friend or a colleague for coffee or ice cream, and also a good place to grab a table for a couple hours of work (though it is often crowded, so you won't always be able to find an empty table). I especially like coming here in the late spring and ...

Arun's is listed in the 100 Places to See Before You Die book and I had to check it out. No doubt, the food is good. However, it is also very pricey and not particularly special if you are used to eating Thai food in Asia. Worth a visit if you've never had the real thing. Definitely off the beaten ...

The Signature Room at the 95th

    33 reviews

I could spend hours just taking in the breathtaking views here, which are probably second best to the views from Willis Tower. The cocktails are delicious, and not very pricey, so it's a perfect spot to just lounge the night away. The restaurant is on the 95th and the lounge is on the 96th. You can get bites up in ...

    Giordano's Pizza

    27 reviews

The deep dish Chicago Classic is delicious! I prefer Giordano's over Lou Malnati's. A small is enough to feed 3-4 people, so if you get a medium or large, it's because you're either ravenous or want to eat pizza for days. If you don't have time to wait an hour for your pizza, get a half-baked frozen pie to go. ...

It's kind of touristy, but if you like a good cheesesteak, the sandwich here with sweet peppers and mozzarella is pretty unreal. Get a lot of napkins.

    Bull and Bear

    5 reviews

Great great menu! I had the crab cake benedict and it was awesome! I also really love that there are taps at the table. The overall atmosphere is pretty nice too, there are tvs but it's definitely not a sports bar. I feel like it would be good for numerous occasions.

    Giordano's Pizzeria on Rush

    37 reviews

The concierge at the Drake directed us here for good Chicago pizza. This was the first authentic Chicago pizza we tasted on our vacation and we were not disappointed. It's thick deep dish style. We ordered personal size pizzas and a garlic bread appetizer although the pizza would've been enough. We left the restaurant absolutely stuffed.

Cafe Ba-Ba-Reba is a fantastic place to meet with a group of friends for a pitcher of sangria and some small plates. The bacon wrapped dates are a must! Sit outside if the weather allows, the porch has a great atmosphere.
