Great brunch spot in Wicker Park. The brisket hash tastes like love in a bowl. Super colorful and hearty dish. I loved that the indoors opened to a patio. Great for weekend brunch on a summer day!

Very scene-y, but if that's what you're looking for, this has a fun vibe, good music, and a great view. The retractable roof is cool too.

The Signature Room at the 95th

875 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611
    4.5
    33 reviews

I could spend hours just taking in the breathtaking views here, which are probably second best to the views from Willis Tower. The cocktails are delicious, and not very pricey, so it's a perfect spot to just lounge the night away. The restaurant is on the 95th and the lounge is on the 96th. You can get bites up in ...

It's kind of touristy, but if you like a good cheesesteak, the sandwich here with sweet peppers and mozzarella is pretty unreal. Get a lot of napkins.

    Lou Malnati's Pizzeria

    439 N Wells St, Chicago, IL 60654
    4.5
    52 reviews

This is the best Chicago deep dish pizza. With many locations, it's easy to find one of their sit down restaurants or just a carry out store, depending on your mood. Just to warn you: it does take half an hour for them to bake the pizza when you order at the sit down restaurant. Lou's buttery crunchy crust far ...

    Girl & the Goat

809 West Randolph Street, Chicago, IL 60607

Top Chef winner Stephanie Izard's Girl & the Goat is one of the hardest restaurants to get a table for so make reservations in advance. Totally worth the wait though - the food is amazing! Shared small plates here so you'll want to order a few different things to try. I especially loved the crisp braised pork shank, sugo pappardelle ...

Cafe Ba-Ba-Reba is a fantastic place to meet with a group of friends for a pitcher of sangria and some small plates. The bacon wrapped dates are a must! Sit outside if the weather allows, the porch has a great atmosphere.

    Manny's Cafeteria & Delicatessen

    1141 S Jefferson St, Chicago, IL 60607
    4.5
    9 reviews

I love going through the cafeteria-style line and kibitzing with the cooks and servers. The corned beef is great, each sandwich has enough for two. Try the kishka, and a vanilla cream, and a pickle, and some cole slaw. There's a parking lot out back.

This one was a new discovery in Chicago for me this year. Adventurous but accessible locally sourced food that is very high end, yet affordable. An undeniable hipster vibe, and in the heart of Logan Square. Fantastic service. This is my go-to brunch place! Don't miss the Bloody Larry (Bloody Mary with whiskey) or the Whole Hog Crepinette.

Garrett Popcorn brand needs no introduction. Yes, it IS as good as they say and they lines can be a bear at certain locations and certain times. There really is no one that does a better Chicago Mix of Cheddar and Caramel flavors.

    Mercat a la Planxa

    638 Michagan Avenue, Chicago, IL

Tapas here have a more modern presentation, but the flavors evoke memories of dining in Spain more than any other tapas restaurant in Chicago. Hence, it is my family's go-to for Spanish food. When I am not dining here on the parents' dime, it's mostly to take advantage of their awesome brunch. It is a feast! The only setback is ...

    Gilt Bar

230 W Kinzie St, Chicago, IL

Dimly lit, well-crafted cocktails, delicious food - it's really hard to find a place that executes ambiance, drinks, and food successfully. It's a restaurant/bar that I would easily return to with friends or a date.

In a city full of tapas and small plates restaurants, this one stands out, and is even favored by a number of celebrity chefs themselves. Adventurous eaters should try the pig ears, bone marrow, and foie gras with membrillo.

OMG their pizza is to die for! All I could think about when I got home was getting myself more of that pizza. Found some alternatives but nothing beats Giordano's. I love that pizza pie!
