    Hot Doug's

    20 reviews

A Chicago institution. Doug is a trained culinary chef...not just a dog maker. But he creates unique dogs with flair...fois gras, special toppings, duck fat fries, etc. Long lines are expected and it's off the beaten path. You won't regret a visit!

Great Cheezborgor place to go to before the BIG game at the United Center. Value burger + fries plus excellent coca-cola! Super fun atmosphere and the double cheezeburger is fabulous.

    DMK Burger Bar

Some of the best burgers I've had with an awesome beer selection too. When it's colder out they have chili that you can add on top of anything (get it on the cheddar fries)

    Taste of Chicago

    13 reviews

Good event to experience at least ones in life. We bumped into this by sheer accident during our visit to Chicago. The event attracts a lot crowd from both in and outside Chicago. In each of the individual booth, a local restaurant/foodery show off their specialties in mini portions. Each dish is labeled with a price in 'food tickets'. You ...

    Rock N Roll McDonald's

    10 reviews

Couldn't say no to visiting McDonalds in Chicago. It's one of the biggest one I've been in (and they have an escalator). Why this one is special: - Convenient location after a bar outing - it's 24hours - The furnitures are clean and modern - Plenty of space to lounge around - The second floor is covered in history of ...

    Ed Debevic's

    7 reviews

This is a good place to take kids. It tends to be noisy and lively. The servers are expected to be "sassy", so don't be offended by their remarks - This is part of Ed Debevic's atmosphere. This is a retro themed diner, with many varieties of hamburgers and chili, sloppy Joe, meatloaf, pot roast and other typical 1950's diner ...

    Jim's Original

    4 reviews

This stand tends to be a favorite sausage run for any late night cravings. There's no seating, but there is a counter to stand by along their wall outside for balmier days. Hence, whoever can just drive there and grab a bunch of polish sausages for you is your new best friend.

    West Egg Cafe

Apparently this was one of the first breakfast/brunch spots in downtown Chicago's Streeterville. From the moment you walk in you can tell this is a well oiled machine, with friendly service and delicious omelettes. I will be back.

    Wishbone

This is my favorite brunch spot in Chicago. A good mix of Southern-influenced options. The menu is massive so there is something for everyone. I could eat the corn cakes here all day. Expect to wait if you arrive after 10:30 or 11 on a weekend. Good news is that the tables turn pretty quickly. The coffee here is TERRIBLE ...

    Burger Bar

    2 reviews

Burger Bar is a craft beer bar and an insane burger joint that combines a regular beef patty with what could be its own sandwich. I tried the monthly special, a burger topped with BBQ pork and a sausage, also splurging the extra dollar to get the truffle fries.

    Halsted's Bar + Grill

Make sure you check out the back patio when the weather allows. Though this is a bar, the food seems more conciously prepared than your average bar. Specials every night of the week and the mac and cheese gets RAVE reviews!

    Etno Village Grill

    2 reviews

Solid. A good foodie friend of mine has been talking about Etno for awhile since it opened in the 'hood. A Groupon popped up and so I decided what the hell, it'll make me try it sooner than later. It's exactly what it looks like from the outside, a cute little spot with a cozy interior and simple menu. Enough ...
