This place was delicious! My boyfriend and I each got a torta. I got the Chicken Milanesa and he got the Choriqueso, and we both agreed mine was better. Then we shared churros, which were amazing. It's basically what Taco Bell's "cinnamon twists" ASPIRE to be. The only thing is that it's quite small and cramped in there, and we ...Popular withFoodiesBudgetOutdoor

In planning a trip to Chicago, we tried to get reservations at Frontera Grill and XOCO with no avail (it was a 4 week wait). I was incredibly sad as I'd been dying to try either Rick Bayless property, so imagine my surprise when I saw that there was a fast casual version at the airport (of all places). I ...

Big, big fan of anything Rick Bayless does. I wish he would follow me to New York and open a restaurant here, but alas that won't be the case (and I respect his rationale). Probably the best Mexican food I've had. They prepped a vegetarian tasting menu for us. It was spring so lots of nettles, cactus leaves and fiddlehead ...Popular withFoodiesLuxuryLocal

I've walked by here so many times and finally, just the other day, we went in and gave it a shot. The interior is about like you'd expect, small, cute, nothing too crazy. My boyfriend ordered a burrito and I got two tacos and wow, they were at our table immediately! I was impressed with the speed. To my surprise, ...

Had I not walked up Halsted to get to the Brown Line, I probably would have never discovered these artisan tacos. With Uncle Julio's nearby, i haven't had much reason to explore. The narrow storefront is deceptive; it's bigger on the inside. The tacos come flat with generous portions on thick and soft corn tortillas, combining the pleasure of quick ...
One of my favorite Mexican spots in Chicago. Everything is excellent and the atmosphere / vibe here is quite good. I'm a big fan of the guacamole, anything with seafood, and the chocolate tamales to finish. The margaritas are a must -- among the best I've ever had... all that is missing is a nice beach.Popular withVegetarianLocalFoodies
You can't beat the value at El Cid, a Logan Square institution. I love the chimichanga (who doesn't love a deep fried burrito?) and the spicy salsa verde. Come when the weather's nice, ask to sit on the back patio, and order a margarita. You won't regret this, I swear.Popular withStudentsBudgetLocal
When these guys say late night tacos, they mean it. Allende serves up deliciousness until 5 AM on weekends! Two tacos, beans, rice and chips will only set you back $5. Perfect for soaking up that last cocktail you shouldn't have had on your way home or to your hotel. A Chicago MUST.Popular withLGBTTrendstersFoodies
an amazing little lakeview gem tucked away in a basement with small tables. it's byob and cash only - so bring your own wine for sangria or tequila for margaritas! for a table of two, four-five dishes will do. if you are feeling adventurous, go with four and get the whole menu! so delicious. the staff here is awesome. and ...
