    Lou Malnati's Pizzeria

    54 reviews

Deep Dish Pizza Yum!! My Friend Gem saw I was visiting her hometown of Chicago, she sent me a list of places I might be interested in going to. For Deep dish pizza, she recommended going to Lou Malnati's. I have never had a deep dish pizza and what better place to try it than in Chicago. Fortunately, Lou Malnati's ...

Portillo's is greasy fried food, but if you like sit-down fast food with the option for beer and chocolate smear cake... this is your jam. They also have a pretty decent Chicago style hot dog and roast beef sandwich. Don't be fooled though, there are plenty of other places to get a Chicago roast beef sandwich or hot dog. Cheers.

At first I thought "what's the big deal - it's just popcorn. What's with the line down the street?" But it's GOOD and totally worth the line.

The Signature Room at the 95th

In my opinion, the best bar in Chicago. A little over priced but worth ever penny. The view is just as spectacular as the Willis Tower but a more mature and relaxing environment.

Me personal favorite of all the deep dish pizza I ate while in Chicago. We went to the one located right off the Magnificent Mile. It was not only delicious but just a great atmosphere as well.

    Girl & the Goat

Top Chef winner Stephanie Izard's Girl & the Goat is one of the hardest restaurants to get a table for so make reservations in advance. Totally worth the wait though - the food is amazing! Shared small plates here so you'll want to order a few different things to try. I especially loved the crisp braised pork shank, sugo pappardelle ...

    Gino's East of Chicago

    26 reviews

My favorite deep dish pizza. Everyone has their own preference but I feel this place gives you a more down home feel than the competing chain spots in town. This restaurant location has a lot of history and character going on inside. Be prepared to wait a while for pizza to come out. Grab a drink and an app while ...

    Hot Doug's

A Chicago institution, but it's going to be closing on October 3, 2014. Go there before it's gone! This corner hot dog shop owned by a die-hard Cubs fan takes hot dogs to the next gourmet level with wild game, berries, nuts, cheeses and all sorts of unexpectedly awesome flavor combinations. Don't be surprised to see a line outside and ...

    ROOF on theWit

Another great spot to appreciate views of Chicago. Be prepared for a long line on the weekends while "VIP"s sweep past. The cocktails are beautiful, as is the crowd, but I'd bring my own company anyway.

    Gilt Bar

Dimly lit, well-crafted cocktails, delicious food - it's really hard to find a place that executes ambiance, drinks, and food successfully. It's a restaurant/bar that I would easily return to with friends or a date.

The word is YES. I will go here any time anybody suggests. One of my FAVORITE brunch spots ever. Belly up at that coffee bar and prepare for a wait. If you're hungover, maybe go for some water first and get that advil down. It's worth the wait. I've tried many things on the menu, and they have inventive specials ...
