    Green Mill

The crown jewel of historic-Chicago bars, this classic spot has been around under its current name since 1910. It’s hosted the likes of Frank Sinatra and Charlie Chaplin, and today continues to attract talented jazz musicians who keep the music blaring way past midnight. You can tell that people here care about the music, because the conversations are generally kept ...

    Hot Chocolate

    7 reviews

The chef and owner is a James Beard pastry chef 5 time nominated and 2012 award winning chef. Her cold cocoa drink with homemade marshmallow was to die for. She has a full service menu but honestly I never got pass the drinks. They're fabulous.

    Sprinkles Cupcakes Chicago

    9 reviews

The time I was there they were hosting a book signing. I appreciate businesses who go the extra mile to stand out from their competitors. From book signings to their infamous cupcake ATM- Sprinkles Cupcakes does it right and everything is made fresh daily.

    DMK Burger Bar

    8 reviews

Loved it! We got in and out pretty quickly despite the fact that it was packed, and the food was great! I went with some die-hard burger fans and they loved it, but they still had some interesting choices for the non-conventional burger person like me. I had the lamb burger with tzatziki sauce and the works and it was ...

    Molly's Cupcakes

Great variety of cupcakes every time. The cupcakes are moist and not overwhelmingly sweet. A wonderful place to hangout with multiple seating areas and games to play. The sprinkles bar is a big plus.

    Three Dots and a Dash

    4 reviews

Do not miss this place if you are visiting. I am a huge fan of Tiki themed bars, and this one is my favorite in Chicago. The crab rangoon and pineapple guacamole were a big hit for us. We tried the Painkiller rum beverage and the classic Three Dots and a Dash. Well worth the price for these delicious drinks. ...

    Lillie's Q

    7 reviews

One of the best drink menus in the city. They specialize in Whiskey and Moonshines. The food was to die for!!! I personally enjoyed the Carolina bbq sauce with the Tri-Tip. Which was some of the juiciest brisket I have ever tasted and I am from the South. My son loved the pulled pork sandwich and hot smokey bbq sauce. ...

    Pops for Champagne

    7 reviews

Swanky champagne lounge! A perfect spot to enjoy a bottle of bubbly with a date or small group of friends. On Sundays, the downstairs jazz lounge Watershed is closed, but a live jazz band plays by the bar. Love the modern, mellow and classy ambiance. Service is lovely.

    Wilde Bar & Restaurant

    4 reviews

"Love and gluttony justify everything," reads the wall of this Boystown institution. Part restaurant, part bar, part library, a visit to Wilde feels like curling up in one of your grandfather's worn leather chairs. Except grandpa now serves cocktails!

    Green Zebra

    2 reviews

Green Zebra is probably the fanciest vegetarian-only restaurant in Chicago. The sleek and modern eatery offers a relaxed vibe, welcoming patrons with grey hues, lush palm-plants, and dim lighting. Instead, it’s the food that commands attention. Chef McClain’s menu integrates locally produced ingredients culled from farmers, foragers, and community members, ensuring the food is as fresh as the culinary concept. ...

    Allende Restaurant

    2 reviews

When these guys say late night tacos, they mean it. Allende serves up deliciousness until 5 AM on weekends! Two tacos, beans, rice and chips will only set you back $5. Perfect for soaking up that last cocktail you shouldn't have had on your way home or to your hotel. A Chicago MUST.

    Bongo Room

My absolute favorite brunch spot, how can you say no to white choc caramel pretzel pancakes? My actual favorite menu item is the BLT benedict (which is way classier than it sounds) and a pancake on the side (yes they let you do this, it's off the menu ordering). You're welcome.
