    Millennium Park

    4.5
    263 reviews

Admiring yourself from all angles of the shiny, reflective bean is a must-do while in Chicago. Once you're done taking some cool photos there, head over to see the LED face fountains (you'll know them when you see them...they're actually a little creepy). If you're there in the winter, you can go ice skating at the Millennium Park ice rink.

    Willis Tower

    4.5
    203 reviews

Pro tip: show up when they open in the morning so you won't wait over an hour in line. I was there during the winter and I still waited at least an hour in line during the day. Can't imagine how crazy it'll get during the summer. It does get pretty warm in there. Once you get through the long ...

    Wrigley Field

    161 reviews

One of the most incredible ball parks in America. Just being in the neighborhood to hear the roar of the crowd is a treat. Even if you don't like baseball, a sunny afternoon in the bleacher seats is a Chicago highlight.

    Art Institute of Chicago

    4.5
    141 reviews

In a city that's home to an exceptional number of truly great museums, the Art Institute may be the best of all. The museum is home to so many famous pieces that it's facile to list them all, and kids will enjoy the excellent armor court. An absolute must for any visitor to one of the world's great culture cities.

    John Hancock Center

    4.5
    116 reviews

The views are truly great. Since I grew up in the area I love pouring over the details of the cityscape and spotting all the familiar landmarks. Great views of the lake too. Next time I go I'll try the option of going to the bar and getting a drink with the views.

    John G. Shedd Aquarium

I absolutely love this place. I've been to several fine aquariums, but this place might offer the most complete overall experience in that category. Worth the price of admission.

    Lincoln Park Zoo

    4.5
    84 reviews

Feels more like a park but, it's free. Great to take kids I guess when you are on a tight budget. Best time to visit is in the summer! It's too cold to go any other time. Besides I am sure the animals are inside to be kept warm.

    Cloud Gate

    4.5
    80 reviews

I heard about "The Bean" but really nothing prepared me for the entrancing and charismatic nature of this public art. It shines in the urban landscape reflecting the grids of the buildings on Michigan Ave, and the trees in the park. It reflects everything, distorting in weird and exciting ways. Stand right under it. Look at yourself, then you friends. ...

    The Magnificent Mile

    4
    86 reviews

New York has 5th Avenue. LA has Rodeo Drive. Chicago has the Mag Mile. Those with money to spend will have plenty of choices, with shops like Burberry, Armani and Tiffany's lining the street. Start at the Old Water Tower building then work your way south towards the river. Once you've shopped your heart out, you can take a well ...

The field museum is one of my favorite museums that I have ever been to. They have done a great job of presenting history. I really like their Egyptian exhibit.

    Clarence Buckingham Fountain

    4.5
    56 reviews

A bit of a walk from Millenium Park, but on a super hot day the spray from this fountain is heavenly. We embraced our inner children and ran around the fountain on day that was over 95 degrees. Great memories here.

    Lake Michigan

    4.5
    58 reviews

I called my mom the first time I saw Chicago's lake front. "Mom... there's an OCEAN in the MIDDLE of the CITY!" It's been true love ever since. No matter the season, I find peace, unity and inspiration in and along Lake Michigan. If you miss walking the lakefront, you've missed the whole thing.

    Chinatown

    4
    52 reviews

Chinatown is an awesome place to explore! There are tons of little shops (although after a while, most of them are basically the same). At the little stores one can buy anything from vitamins to cute wall decals. I've found some unique stuff at the shops, like gorgeous tea sets and beautiful hand-painted posters. There is also an incredible amount ...

Chicago's downtown area sits along both the river and the lake, plus it's clean with amazing architecture. A great area to wander around when the weather cooperates.

    Architecture River Cruise

    4.5
    35 reviews

It's tough to get a great view of much of Chicago's notable architecture from anywhere besides the river. Also just a nice way to spend an afternoon on the water. The cruises depart close to Millennium Park, which is well worth a visit itself.
