    Wrigley Field

    167 reviews

I've seen the Chicago Cubs in action within the "Friendly Confines" of Wrigley Field many times over the years. I've been here in the Spring wearing a toque and mittens, on a hot Summer day or sultry evening, and in the Fall when the season was all but over. My only Winter regret was not attending the Hockey Classic in ...

    Adler Planetarium & Astronomy Museum

    32 reviews

Fantastic planetarium. It is a great escape! Be sure to purchase a movie or two. The movies in the dome make you feel like you are traveling. The 3D movies do the same in a different way.

    Downtown Chicago

    42 reviews

Thriving business district with a lot of culture. There are sculptures, like the Picasso, small fountains, and courtyard type gathering places. Plenty of restaurants and shopping. On the weekends, it is much more quiet. Several theaters, like the historic Chicago Theater and the Goodman Theater are in the Loop.

    Macy's State Street

    18 reviews

This is the Macy's to visit! When on Michigan Ave., go to all other department stores. This Macy's is HUGE, tons of selection, great sales, and good food. Worth the trip to the old Marshall Field's on State Street. Beautiful building. The Walnut Room during the holidays has a beautiful tree.

    Greektown

    20 reviews

Underwhelming restaurants with monotonous menus. However, I recommend Artopolis (for lunch) and Athena (pricey). Also, the nice Greek pastry shop.

    The Merchandise Mart Building

    10 reviews

Overwhelming with its huge size. Beautiful architecture and very pretty on the Chicago River. There is an outdoor area to appreciate the location. The food is fine but the shopping or window-looking is fabulous. Always gives new design ideas or wish lists it seems.

    Lakefront Path

    19 reviews

Beautiful place to jog! It is also a great way to walk or bike. It can get crowded with bikers, so try to go earlier in the day if possible when running. It has a wonderful, long span so you can walk to marinas, beaches, and even The Field Museum, The Shedd Aquarium, and The Adler Planetarium if you want ...

    Water Tower Place

    28 reviews

Beautiful and fun to ride the glass elevator. I can't help but think of Willie Wonka and The Chocolate Factory. Plethora of shopping! The food court is not like any other. It is like eating at mini restaurants. Very enjoyable and all to easy to spend money. Mity Nice Grill is good and great to have in the building. Will ...

    Art Institute of Chicago

    149 reviews

The Art Institute is well worth the price of admission (especially on Thursday nights, when it's free!), and really does have something for everyone. They've got galleries that showcase ancient China and contemporary America, and everything in between. Be sure to check out the Modern Wing, which was finished just a few years ago. When you're finished, walk across the ...

    John G. Shedd Aquarium

    101 reviews

Amazing aquarium. Be sure to purchase the package that includes the show. The visit is not the same without the show, so be sure to treat yourselves to it. Giggled when saw the penguins! Relaxed deeply with the jellyfish. Enjoy your visit!
