    John G. Shedd Aquarium

    4.5
    100 reviews

One of the most well put together aquariums that I've ever visited! The set up takes you around the World's oceans and freshwater systems, introducing water life along the way. FYI- there are lockers in the basement for you to keep your valuables in while you walk around for a minimal fee! Loved it!

When you are in the Millenium Park area, Buckingham Fountain is a "Must Do", especially in summer. It's a gorgeous backdrop for pictures and was in the opening scene of "Married with Children", the 80's sitcom.

    Museum of Science and Industry

    4.5

The last time I was here was probably more than 15 years ago, but it was still so much fun when I visited again just recently. There are so many exhibits that are interactive (shooting tennis balls across the room with basketball arcs, creating vortexes). There were also some pretty impressive exhibits on natural disasters, such as the four-story high ...

    Ohio Street Beach

A lesser known beach so it tends to be a little less packed than North Avenue & Oak Street. It is also a great place to watch the air & water show if you want to beat traffic afterwards with a quick escape.

    Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum

Great museum to take little kids to! I used to babysit for a 3 year old who absolutely loved it, aside from being afraid from the butterfly room. There is a nice water station and some areas to climb and it tends to be pretty empty on weekdays.
