    9 reviews

Enjoy the view that you'd get from the observation deck but do it with a cocktail. A really lovely bar offering one of the best views in the city. Yes, it is touristy but it really is special.

I went to City Winery for a show last night and was blown away by the place. The seats we got were right next to the stage but the price wasn't any more expensive. The wine was good, but the biggest surprise was the food quality. In a city with great food this place definitely competes! I will definitely be ...

Come here on a Chicago summer night. Pack a picnic, bring your own drinks, and get here early. Some locals are intense about getting there right early (like 3 or 4 hours) and then stake claim to their piece of lawn with blankets. Ticket prices on lawn seats are affordable and you can even rent chairs and tables so you ...

    Emporium Arcade Bar

    5 reviews

It's a bar, with a bunch of arcade games - a barcade, if you will. Drinks are somewhat reasonable, with lots of beer on draft. And all the games are 25 cents a pop! Nice. Our friend in Chicago plays in pinball tournaments here. Now I know that that is a thing.

Summer concerts at Ravinia are one of the best nights you can have in Chicagoland. A large spread out grassy area can hold several thousands of people with lawn chairs, and baskets full of wine and food grouped together as if they were gathering for a picnic.
