It's great to come here on a wet day. There's a fire engine and ambulance (which the kids love to sit in), a wooly mammoth educational exhibit, a wet play area and even a play room for crawlers.

Went to my second YELP! foodie event tonight at the Children's Discovery Museum. Food and drinks galore, left and right, straight ahead and behind us. Downstairs was food, upstairs were drinks...and more food. There was even an ambulance and fire truck on the premises. The food was excellent, and the desserts and chocolates were to die for! Plus, the cool science exhibits added more fun to the night!
The last Yelp event was bigger and more chaotic, so I was glad that this one went so smoothly. There were excellent samples from New Delhi Restaurant (mini samosas), Morocco's Restaurant (lentil beans salad), Crunch Catering (tuna tartar & potato bites), and Dio Deka (Greek food), and others. Throw in some excellent chocolates and mini muffins for sweets, and wash it down with free alcohol and Honest Tea!!!
Can't wait for the next YELP! event!

This is a fun and excellently designed museum created to help kids learn and discover. It's fun for adults too! There's plenty here to entertain, as the building is quite large. You could easily spend a fun-filled day here.

What a super fun place for both kids and adults! Much like the Exploratorium in SF, this museum is full of interactive displays and activities to help kids discover the world around them. They have different exhibits throughout the year which are really interesting for even adults to check out. Love the water works and bubble display downstairs.
For anyone thinking of having a corporate or charity event, this is a great place to host it! There's also an outdoor amphitheater for live music.

The Children Discovery Museum is really cute.
It offers attractions for little ones. So if it is winter or summer and you are looking for something to do with your child, it is a great place.
They have water play area so don't forget to bring your kid another shirt :)

we all simply loved this museum, probably went there more than 10 times in the 4 years we lived in the area. great for young kids, doesn't really fit older kids (10+). my kids especially loved the water area and the soap bubbles area, and also the arts & crafts room on the second floor.

I used to love this museum as a kid. It's a little more hands-on than the Tech Museum and there's so much fun science and the like to be had there. If you haven't been, wander around the park outside for a while to find the giant Monopoly board. At some point, it held a record for being the largest one. It may still, but don't know for sure. If you have younger kids, it's a fun place to be. If you or people you know are above the age of 11/12, I wouldn't recommend it though. Except that Monopoly board. You're never too old to relive all the family and friend arguments you've had over that game.

Amazing museum for kids in all ages. I came here with my 18 months daughter for the first time and she had a great time. everything is build for small kids and the wide variety of activities is a good reason to come here more often. It's a great solution for a bad weather days but even on nice days you can enjoy the sun in the nice garden they have here.
