Place Vendome is actually a really beautiful square that is literally surrounded by luxury: from the Ritz Paris, to the luxury brands that line the square and the street leading up to it. I really like the prominent Napolean's Trajan Column that serves also like a beacon since this can be seen from the bustling Opera or Haussman shopping area. ...

The entrance plaza for the Louvre has two glass pyramids, one of which is the actual entrance. In contrast to the old architecture around it, these modern pieces give the area a bit more life, even if people initially complained about the change.

If you hit one shop in Paris make it Colette. Even if you can't afford the hefty price tags it's still a good place for cool hunting; their edit of all things fashionable and hip is unparalelled.

Earnest Hemingway's beloved haunt in Paris' swanky Ritz Hotel is the perfect place for a classy, romantic aperitif. Though Colin Field's signature cocktails are quite pricey, they are absolutely delicious and each one a work of art. You will also enjoy the complimentary potato chips and olives as you recline comfortably while listening to the moody jazz and admire the ...

While there's no shortage of men's bespoke shirtmakers, there's one which continues to attract special cachet (or snob value, depending on your point of view). Charvet has been drawing them in since 1838 and its principal outlet just by the Ritz in Paris the place to come to get your hands on one of these. Noel Coward, Bing Crosby, Presidents ...

To find this boutique, just look for the bubbles being blown into the street. Owned by one of France's most famous noses, this delightful little shop has a nice selection of his eponymous fragrance label. Still relatively undiscovered but treasured by those in the know. Francis is responsible for developing fragrances for many of the largest prestige brands.

La Comedie Francaise was founded my infamous play-write Moliere. It has since become one of the most popular theaters in Paris, performing many famous plays with some modern twists. I saw Moliere's L'Avare here and it was such a treat. The theater itself is beautiful and the cast of actors are some of the best Paris has to offer.

Foucher, a smaller, family owned chocolatier only have 2 locations in Paris. The one on l'Opera and the other the original location on Rue de Bac (also a famous Les Miz address). Because of its smaller scale, quality if definitely ensured and a bit into their delicious bonbons, you will appreciate traditional techniques even more. Love the art deco-eques boxes ...

Starting from the Louvre, seeing the Arc de Triomphe in the distance, may appear as an easy walk, but it really really isn't. You will only, and only ever want to do it once as it is such a long drag and can take up much of your time in Paris, which isn't great if you only have a day, ...

This is my favourite museum in the world. Yeah, I know I haven't been to them all but I've hit some of the biggest and this, by far, is my favourite - because it has the most extensive Impressionism collection I've seen in one spot. I really did prefer this over the Louvre. There were fewer people and it's not ...
