Christiansted's charming historical streets are the perfect setting for fine dining, shopping, historical sight-seeing or a night on the town. Try to coordinate your trip with one of the four "Jump-Up" festivals that take place each year in this vibrant island city.

Some great little restaurants located on the boardwalk/waterfront of the town center. Lots of little shops to poke into and meander around the historic streets.

Description

Pastel buildings with red-tile roofs bring a picturesque charm to Christiansted, St. Croix's largest city. This former capital of the Danish West Indies is sandwiched between the beautiful coastline and rolling green hills, and features the Christiansted National Historic Site, where Fort Christiansværn, the best preserved Danish fort in the islands, is located. Hotels, restaurants and scuba diving companies are in plentiful supply.
