I needed churros in a baaad way.
Churros Calientes delivered what I needed: A hot pastry injection.
You can barely make out the storefront from the street as you pass by. The place has an air of mystery to it. I kinda liked that.
Once seated, you kinda just want to hang around and not leave. I've never been to Spain, but I could only imagine how laid back the culture is.
As I dipped my churro into my viscous chocolate, I honestly felt like I was somewhere else - definitely not LA.
I would come here again to sample all their churros. Not the best churros I've had, but they really hit the spot.
The Missus had the churro filled with guava cream cheese. It was pretty delicious. Even her chai tea was good, and I've had the misfortune of tasting some pretty god-awful chai tea.
If you like desserts, but are sick of the same-ol', then come on over and give this place a try. Next time, I'm just going to eat lunch here and take a nap on the patio.

Mmmm... yummy! I hope to go here again soon. The shop is little and intimate. The service was friendly and helpful. I like that you can choose different types of toppings for your churros and you can choose if you want a filling too! My sister got the churros con chocolate and it was delicious. I got churros with chocolate topping. My bf got the churro with condensed milk filling and chocolate topping. All were good! The churros were decently priced. I went later at night on a weekday and found metered parking around the corner.
