This is not a hotel, it is a resort, and once you are here, there is really no reason to leave the “palace” walls. Unless, of course, you want to see Istanbul. It is actually attached to a real palace – which has a restaurant, conference rooms, and palace suites (I really wanted to see one of those!). Given the “palace” theme, the hotel’s opulence is not surprising, but it is certainly enjoyable. As far as amenities go, you name it, they’ve got it in spades. Everything - a children’s playroom, and outdoor infinity pool, an indoor pool and jacuzzi, a hamam, an outdoor hookah lounge, a patio restaurant and a variety of shops. The room was luxurious, and the view of the Bosphorus from the balcony added to the experience. Basically, everything at this hotel is about quality and excellence, and they have mastered both.

You can barely tell that this is a hotel now, and not a palace any longer. Amazing location right on the water and close to historic tourist sights.

The last Sultan's abode over-looking the Bosphorous is one of the world's great 5* hotels. If you want to feel like royalty then this is the place to be.
As you would expect the service is great, the swimming pool awesome and the restaurants and bars world-class.
Make sure you check out Q Jazz Club on the ground floor, they have a different array of international jazz acts on every night. Be warned though, it's not an early night and Istanbul likes to party until the wee hours. If you're feeling the effects then try their tripe soup as a pick-me-up. YUM!

The Ciragan Palace Kempinski is absolutely regal! A fairly simple exterior, the luxurious lobby, rooms, and spa are breathtaking. The entire hotel is filled with marble floors, Anatolian carpets, and Iznik tiles accenting the walls. As I wondered throughout the hotel, I imagined that this was how the neighboring Ottoman Ciragan Palace looks from the inside. There are a variety of rooms to choose from, from a park view, 40 degree Bosphorous view, and the ultimate 180 degree Bosphorous view. All the rooms are gorgeous , complete with wooden floors, crisp bedding, and a balcony. The spa is also fabulous! It offers a variety of treatments, from traditional to Thai massage. Additionally, it has an indoor pool and hamam. The grounds of the hotel, are equally wonderful. The outdoor pool is large and overlooks the waters of the Bosphorous. It is even heated for guests during the cold winter months! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, treating you more like royalty than a guest. The Ciragan Palace Kempinski is more than a home away from home. It is a royal getaway!Recommended for:Luxury Travelers
