I'm not a big fan of Las Vegas. I don't like to gamble and the whole Nevada sprawl and crowd thing doesn't inspire my travel exploration desires. However, a Training Class was conveniently scheduled here, and it's only a short and inexpensive flight from Oakland. However, I do like Cirque du Soleil shows and when I was here, Sin City offered the following choices:

    - O at the Bellagio
    - Zumanity at New York York
    - KÀ at MGM Grand
    - Love at The Mirage
    - Chris Angel Believe at Luxor
    - Viva Elvis at Aria
    - Mystère at Treasure Island

I chose Mystère because the discounted ticket price was right and the show offered the right combination of theme and show time. "O" or Love seem to be the most popular (and expensive), but I was happy to settle into the Theater at Treasure Island and thoroughly enjoy the show. Everything hit the right notes for me, whether it was the Adult Baby or Usher "Clowns" (including audience participation), the vocals, the dual muscular poses, the high altitude acrobatics, and a bunch of stuff in-between. I have also been to enough Cirque shows that lack of story line coherence is entirely beside the point. Particularly interesting is that Mystère has been here for 18+ years and still feels fresh.

After the Show, I wandered into the Boutique and overheard one couple mentioning that they liked "O" better. Maybe I'd be there too if I had the time to see more Cirque Shows during my stay (KÀ or Viva Elvis might have been next). But I didn't care. I had a great time, and for the moment, no comparisons were necessary or welcome.

Mystere was my very first Cirque du Soleil show and it remained as one of my all time favorites. It was such an energized performance full of stunning visuals, great music and exciting tricks.

Even though Mystere is the oldest Cirque du Soleil residence show in Vegas, it is still not shy in comparison to newer productions. There were a lot of tun elements, both classic and modern. The acts were loosely held together by a coherent theme but there wasn't any strong story line. It was like going to a party. You have to live in the moment.

Excellent show. One of the better Cirque du Soleil shows, where the acrobats are the highlights of the night. Sit further away so you can see the "whole picture!" and enjoy the mysteries and magic that is Mystere!

I'm a big fan of the Cirque du Soleil shows and have seen over 10 of them, not one of them a disappointment. After watching this show, Mystere is now one of my favorite Cirque du Soleil shows. The stunts they pulled and the acrobatics were amazing! The most incredible part of the show was when two men were showing us how much the human body is really capable of. The cast was incredible talented and performed flawlessly. If you're into acrobatics and want to see how crazy gracefully flexible and strong the human body is, you can't miss this show! Is it expensive? It can be? Is it worth it? Hell yes!

Mystere is one of the first Cirque du Soleil resident shows in Vegas. This is so timeless that after all these years, it is still showing strong. This show IS a classic!

Great acrobats as usual for Cirque du Soleil, but the acts are very random and the characters a little stranger than usual.

This was not my first Cirque show, nor was it my favorite. The athleticism of some of the performers were amazing, don't get me wrong. Some things were unique to other cirque shows and other things were similar and gave you the "seen one, seen 'em all" feeling. What I didn't enjoy was the "comedy" in the show. There was some slapstick comedy thrown in, that just wasn't funny. The most annoying thing was the baby, and the guy throwing popcorn at everyone. In a way, there is some audience interaction if you are chosen.

I probably wouldn't see this again and I wouldn't recommend it to a friend. The theatre is also a lot smaller that I thought it was going to be. So much so that it really does not matter where you sit. Every seat in the house is a good seat so don't worry about getting the most expensive of "best seats".

Finally got to catch a Cirque show in Vegas. This one is chock full of acrobatics and aerials. My favorite performer was the man with the metal cube. There were a few comedic aspects of the show as well. The baby is hilarious. You'll just have to watch it to understand what I'm talking about. I'd definitely want to catch another one of their shows in the future.

Of all the Cirque shows I saw, this was less enjoyable. Cirque du Soleil was good but the story was okay. Maybe because I didn't understand it :(

Fabulous all ages show, and one of the cheapest Cirque shows to catch. Bit of a walk from the front of the hotel, so don't get lost in the casino. Great theater with no bad seats.

I think this is the first cirque du soleil show in Vegas. However, it is still in my top 2. I've seen it 5 times and it never gets old.

Amazing show. Not one of my favorites on the strip, but still worth a viewing. Obviously since this is a different show from O or Ka, the stunts are different but still Cirque in every way.

Discounts can usually be found with this show as well. O's usually the one where you can't find any.

If you see O prior to this one then u will feel robbed. O is the best thats why its priced higher. There is quite a big difference to me between the two.

Twelve years ago, my family and I were in Las Vegas. So we decided to see the Cirque du Soleil Mystere. I enjoyed the show and who I believed stole the show the most was that gigantic toddler who befriended one of the audience that gave him back his ball. He even took his new pal on a ride in his toy car. I thought it was sssooo cute!!!

This is a good show for a first timer. Some of the Cirque shows in town are hard to follow the story. There are NO bad seats, but if you sit in the front middle you may be included in the show! Amazing acrobatics and stunning costumes. You will also laugh a lot!

I was able to catch Mystere's 5000th show years ago and I couldn't have been more thrilled to be seated in the best seats in the house. The show is amazing and worth every penny. Come and let your senses be blown away.

I have seen three different Cirque du Soleil shows (Mystere, O!, and Ka), and Mystere is definitely my favorite. They are all great shows, but Mystere just has so much to offer. While the other shows have specific themes of water and martial arts, Mystere is all over the place with fascinating acrobatics, comedy, and art. It's a great show, and a must see while visiting Vegas.

Wow! This show knocked my socks off, the staging, the operatic type singers, the story. For the first 20mins I thought the music was recorded until I looked up and above and behind me were the orchestra and singers! Try to get tickets in advance as you can get stung at the door! This show is located inside Treasure Island(T.I.) and watch the FREE Pirate/Mermaid show just outside before going into lobby!

In retrospect and in comparison with other cirque du soleil shows on the strip, it's not the best of what Cirque du soleil can offer. It does offer the classic gamut of cirque du soleil acts, but nothing really spectacular.
