A bit of a decieving name actually. The restaurant is in Al-Ahzar Park which is facing the Citadel. Anyway it is a very nice restaurant but quite expensive as far as Egyptians are concerned. It is about the same as a meal in the US but then money goes way further here in Egypt.

Al Azhar Park (022 510 9151)
After years of city planning, Al Azhar Park and its restaurants are ready for visitors. In the warmer months, make a point of wandering the grounds before eating on the restaurant’s outdoor terrace. The view of the Mohammed Ali Mosque is something you won’t soon forget. Order a table full of yummy appetizers and skip the less inspiring main dishes. Only private cars are permitted to drive directly to the restaurant, but you will still need to pay the park entrance fee (5LE/person). Reservations essential. No booze.
