Possibly the BEST museum I have ever been to. This place is perfect for travelers of all ages. Essentially a giant playground for kids and adults alike, this museum is constructed from random pieces of anything and everything and guarantees a fantastic time.

What an amazing place! My kids climbed, crawled, jumped, slithered and scaled through this urban spelunk-fest! Food was tasty and surprisingly affordable. Bring your own knee pads- or you can buy them in the gift shop! We'll be back!

This is a very cool place it is a Gaudi-like designed playground. Anyone will enjoy walking around but children will especially love it!

Like a mashup of Gaudi's architecture with the Exploratorium and Watts Towers. It's a slightly insane, wonderful experience for kids and adults alike. Added to this multi-layered attraction there is a bar and BBQ outside in the courtyard. This place is amazing.

The City Museum seems like something out of a Dr. Suess book. Built from the remnants and recovered parts of other buildings, this is really a children's museum where anything within reach is touchable, climbable, and otherwise explorable. There are staff standing by to keep kids safe and most things are well designed to prevent major injuries. Just let your kids loose until they run out of energy.

If only there could be a City Museum in every city on earth we'd all be in much better shape! This amusement park/art museum is a wonder. You can tell this was the dream child of an artist because every inch is beautiful, and you can climb all over it for a closer look.

How can you not love the City Museum? It's so crazy and amazing. It's basically a big playground. I don't think I could fit in every space, but I could fit in most of them. I loved the caves; there were tighter squeezes than when I was actually caving! And the outdoor bit is wonderful as well. My boyfriend and his brother and I just absolutely loved this place. A must-do if you're in St. Louis.

Great place to let the kids burn off some energy (and rediscover how to be a kid yourself!).

Description

The City Museum is the place to be if you want to enjoy one-of-a-kind attractions like the Enchanted Caves, where visitors take a conveyor belt up 10 stories and come back down on a spiral slide. The World Aquarium is here, so if you have a strong urge to pet a stingray, this is the perfect place. When the weather is nice, head to the roof and take a ride on the Ferris wheel. After all of the ... read more
excitement, wind down and have a bite to eat at one of several eateries before shopping for vintage clothing at The Baleout.
